World of MMWG

I just finished reading the book _The Untied States of America_, which is very informative about how the United States, Mexico, and Canada could split up into a number of smaller countries if people decide they get really fed up with each other.

But that book has got me thinking about Canada. I like the irony in my future history in which Quebec is the only province that votes not to dissolve the federation, but I am a little disatisfied with the Canadian future history I developed to try to get the country looking as much like described in the MWWG sourcebook as possible, by 2077 C.E.

(Note: a Wisconsin politician has proposed a bill that would fine anybody using the abbreviations C.E. and B.C.E. instead of the traditional A.D. and B.C. So take that, Madison! :P )

Anyway, I wonder what the MWWG Canada should look like in 2077. I figure it is at least a hundred years or so from having actual kingdoms with hereditary nobels and magic cake stands. OTOH, global warming could make the Canadian forests grow a lot faster, and drilling in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge is certain to disturb ancient evils that arise and rampage across Canada (not having a very good sense of direction, nor any tendancy to read the newspapers).

Some thoughts I have:

1. My future history has Shania Twain returning to Canada. This is motivated by her music video in which she is portrayed as a superheroine character on a really cool motorcycle, eluding the pursuit of a giant stone golem.

2. As someone who has most of the original Alpha Flight comic books, I've got to have a team of Canadian superheroes bumbling around, north of the border, trying to keep their team together as they battle various evils that rampage across northern Canada.

3. If my post on the proposed future history of the MWWG world is still up here, (or even if it is not), it is clear that events in Alaska involving Auntie Josephine will affect the western Canadian provinces.

Speaking of developing the world, there's a section where it talks about the space colonies, Alpha Male colony in particular. It occurred to me that you could create a whole new Occupation based on this description:
Green Gunning Groupies from Outer Space = the not-so-little-green-men found on the Moon might try to come down to Earth. We can assume that the quantity of men in the colony is less than a drop in the bucket compared to the legions of green-skinned hotties desperate for some action since their own moon-men suffered impotence and extinction. Now, the green groupies are on a mission for the missionary, (position) determined to use assault-rifles, ray-guns, or their own well-manicured fingernails to wrest control of Earth men from the greedy, pink-skins.

I'm still working on the stats, but it sounds good to me.

Great character's in a Fantasy Dimension The Bondage Fairy's Pfil and Pamila from the erotic Manga Comic's from Eros Comix. Two sexy fairy Babe's who love Sexual Adventures with each other and other female fairy's-also sometimes with male fairies for a change. They are hottie Babes for fairy's-.One is a Blonde and the other is a Redhead. They would be very interesting character's in MWWG. Possibly Charismatic Heroine's. Two very horny Fairie's..

Two character that would be great for MWWG-The Dirty Pair-Kei and Yuri..UH OH!!! RUNNNNNN AWAYYYYYYYYY! 2 Babes with Heavy Assault Weapon's and Major BOOM BOOMS-Dedicated to BLOWING UP THINGS AND SCUMMY MALES AND PARTYING WITH THE CUTIE GUY'S OHHH GOD! SO BIG-PIGKING-KING OF ALL UNDEAD ZOMBIE PIGGY'S EVERYWHERE

While watching a DVD, I was thinking of how to apply it to a role playing game, and got this idea:

It was during the Second Civil War, when quite accidentally,
A leiutenant sneezed and abruptly seized,
A retreat and reversed it to victory.

Her medal of honor pleased and thrilled her proud little family group.
While pinning it on some blood was spilled,
And so it was planned she’d command, W-Troop.

Where Indian fights are colorful sights with matching accessories,
And when all is lost and there’s no hope, then Wilma will suddenly sneeze.

And then when the gang has saved the town,
They know their morale can’t droop.
And so they relax in the saloon
Before they resume with a bang and a boom, W-Troop.

W-Troop operates in the border area between that occupied by the Indian tribes and that controlled by the Second Confederation of American States. It is of course inspired by the 1960s TV show F-Troop but with the addition of additional aspects, such as pressure on the Hewaki tribe to take over the town so that White Feather can have a strategic victory.

For a cast, I list the following:

Captain Wilma Parmesan (Smart Heroine) is a gallant but chronically clumsy and accident-prone. She has no clue what is going on, but gains a significant “to hit” bonus when she sneezes.

Sargeant Margaret O’Raul (Charismatic Heroine) is a schemer the CEO of O’Raul Enterprises, which illegally runs the local saloon and sells “authentic” souvenirs. She is middle-aged and has been a soldier since the start of the Second Civil War.

Corporal Randy Acorn (Tough Heroine) is O’Raul’s dimwitted and hypochondriac sidekick, and is almost constantly in a state of panic.

Private Annibelle Shirley (Charismatic Heroine) is the bugler, who can’t play any of the regulation tunes. But whenever she whistle’s Dixie, which she does when she is nervous, she has a 5% chance of disappearing and then has to make her way back to Fort Bravery from her hometown in Georgia.

Wrangler Gene (Fast Hero) is a feminine-looking male who runs the local trading post, is determined to marry Wilma, and frequently has to rescue him from predicaments.

Chief Wild Beaver (Wise Heroine) is the Hekawi chief, a middle-aged matron who is making too much profit to pay attention to her prophets.

Freerange Chicken (Wise Heroine) is the ancient medicine woman of the tribe. Quite a dancer in her youth, her arthritis prevents her from performing her medicine dances, so she has to try to teach her apprentice, Hopping Chicken.

So if there are any macho women with guns operating in Kansas, they are welcome to drop in the saloon and say a hello to W-Troop.

Hey UtgardLoki-Amber 'Hawkeye' Hawkins (Strong Heroine) who's a deadly shot with pistol or Rifle (sniper type). She was given a choice when she was caught as a Reb female soldier. She could rot in a Yankee Prison and be used for pleasure by the guards in the prison every night or join W-troop she choose W troop. Because she is a southern Girl and someone says something insulting about W-troop she will defend the unit's Honor..She has a mean streak and is nasty with her Arkansas Toothpick Bowie Knife which was her Mom's and was given to her by said mom when she went off to war to fight for the side which she thought was the right side.THE SOUTH! you could add her to your MWWG W-Troop-Just a suggestion. I was wondering if you were going to Gencon Indy this year and if so would you be running MWWG at it. Please let me know on this site.-- <*^*> PIgking-KING OF ALL UNDEAD ZOMBIE PIGGY'S EVERYWHERE

I've actually come up with an idea for an adventure involving W Troop. Two ideas, actually.

1) The PCs are Union agents who are asked to find a way to neutralize W Troop so that Union Forces can launch an attack on Kansas City. Unknown to them, a wierd space-time anomoly has switched W Troop with F Troop, so now the PCs have to deal with a totally confused Captain Parmenter and a just as confused tribe of Hekawi Indians.

If they do get past F Troop, they then have to deal with the seven giant samurai robots that the Kansas City Council has bought from the Chinese.

2) The PCs are members of W Troop who have somehow found themselves sent back in time to 1868. Like in the movie The Final Countdown, will they save the day before the space time anomoly gets unconfused and sends the camp back to 2068?
