withdrawl and JP questions

Banded Mongoose
A few questions...
1. Can I jump out from a tourney game wait three turns then jump in again? I'm not declaring a withdrawl but I can't shoot and want to use the time recharging to roll damage control repairs..Kattaddar remember me?

2. Can a JP ship open a jump point but not come through, close it and then recharge in order to come through when it opens a new JP three turns later?

3. Ships that have a JP opened for them can fire/special action when they come through?

cheers

1) no, when you leave, you leave. Whether you call it a withdrawal or not, the game DOES call it a withdrawal

2) yup, certainly can. I see no use for this but meh!

3) nope, all ships suffer the same effects, unless they have AJP. (I think)

2) I hate that tactic!!!! getting nerfed by patrol ships with jump points is exceedingly agitating

It's not like it does any damage really, the whole JP bomb seems mostly pointless, you are out of position, or if you stay in hyperspace, your fleet is one ship down.

@Hiffano

6 Dice Triple Damage on hull 4 ships??? Yup that hurts, especially as my opponent (Adam) didnt really need those ships on the board.

I have honestly never seen them of any use. But then, hull 4 ship? in my Narn fleet?! NEVER!!!

Yeah, but its not that bad. Unless you happen to have loads of Hull 4 ships.......oh wait, early EA has loads of Hull 4 ships :twisted:

Yes, yes we do, we dont have any of that fancy hull 6 mullarky, in my day we took hull 4 and liked it!!!
:lol: :lol:

Have found this to be the only practical way for my Vree to kill Corvans hiding at the edge of the battle area. Jump point bombs are situational, but in the situations where they work, they are unbelievable. Waiting in hyper to try it twice?...eh...sometimes worth doing, often enough a waste.
