White Star fighters

So how many actual B5 sculpts did Mongoose actually do that were not just old AOG stuff?

I don't know the exact answer, but it looks like several of the figures at least got reworked as they seem to have different pieces. Certainly all the newer things like the Adira and certainly the new hyperions.

I have to say that the ACTA WS fighters are the lamest excuse to reuse a model. That is my opinion though.

It would have been nice for them to have used the FA scale models as the minis would have been cheaper and ACTA certainly scales well for bigger battles where the bigger-scaled minis tend to clonk into each other.

While I agree, it gave me access to FA WS since AoG went out of business. It actually is more in scale to our regular Sharlins than the regular WS, so I use them as WS.

And they give you 10 per-pack

Other than that, Greg's been almost comprehensive.

I did include that. :)
Sorry, I misread the post above mine as saying it wasn't an AoG sculpt (and therefore that it hadn't been listed by you). I should have had more faith in your thoroughness :)

On the basis that the White Star Fighter models are probably in a much closer scale with the rest of my models than the White Star models themselves, I've just gone and bought myself a pack. Along with my Victory and 1 FAP of allies, I guess that's my 10 Battle point force sorted out :D

Nope. It was one of Mongoose's first ships: http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/news/news_item.php?pkid_news=12 I don't know why AoG didn't do it - maybe their licence didn't include anything other than B5 itself.

That's exactly right - they looked into getting a licence expanded beyond the syndicated series but it was too expensive for them.

When Mongoose bought their licence, WB packaged the whole lot up as there was now a lot more material and anyone coming into the game afresh would expect this extra material (and the stuff that was due to be made) to be available.

Hmm, I've always thought the new Olympus was from AoG.

Oh well, it's one of the better sculpts made by MGP then.

Oooh thank you very much :). That was the first space ship I ever sculpted ;)

I didn't know that. m(_ _)m
Too bad ACTA ended before we see any more of your ships.

Yep, they sure are. I ordered two packs of them some time ago and found that out... as it was, I had a pile of them that I was using as Eldar bombers for BFG. Now, after raiding the BFG box, I have some 34 White Star fighters. I am not loved..... ;)
