What size will "standard" games be?

Can any of the playtesters or Mongooses tell us what size the standard game of BF:Evo is expected to be?
SST was 2000pts, ACTA is 5 point Raid, 40K is 1500, Warhamer 2000 etc

I'm wondering how much of my force (and money!) should be left for the Germans and French plus later British releases

apologies if this has been said before

Oh and I currently have 835 points

interesting question, i think it depends on you and your friends, i can honestly see 4k games being very popular, once air is out.

we palyed a 3 way 550 point game the other night with a village in the middle of the table, that in itself was a great tacticle and rewarding game.

id say aim at 3k and 4k will naturaly happen, if your playing MEA then its going to be a long hard struggle to get to such points values till tanks become available.

We find that playing 1250 (wave 1 releases) in a 6x4 table to be about the comfortable maximum, now using more expensive units / models may allow you to push that upto about 1500-2000...

I prefer to keep smaller forces on the table as if you have lots of models then it detracts from the tactical play available, but that is again affected by the terrain, we don't have the buildings to do city fights, we tend to play rural or semi rural (edge of a village, or a hamelt with a couple of houses in it).

I would imagine that if you can get a 8x6 table with a large village or town taking up most or all of the feild then you could play a fairly huge fight that would be lots of fun :D

I'm going to want to add to my paltry force of

1 British Section
1 Challenger
1 Command Section
1 Warrior

I know I'll want

SAS
Foreign Legion
German Infantry
Tiger
Leopard 2
Lynx

I think it adds a challenge to the proceedings - you can take a balance of infantry+transports+tank and enough space over for an aircraft, or go spammign one direction or the other.

I think you will need to add either another infantry or tank to make a legal force once the rule book comes out.

yeah not sure if I'll go for footslogger or mechanised yet

depends on whether the French and Germans get IFVs or not

Then just grab another Challie.... you can never have to many Challies :) and wait and see what the future brings..... :) Or a Leopard 2, I am surely if you ask nicely someone will send you the playtest stats.

Well Germans have their Marder line, French have their AMX-10P ATM. Don't see why either country would drop IFV's from army in 2015 so I would expect to see them sooner or later.

already seen them cheers! :D and yes I'll be getting one!

1500 points per platoon correct?

Mybe I'm all wrong here, but I thought the German and Frech additions to the EFTF were going to be support options for the basic Bristish infantry section. Filling in some of the Anti-Armor gaps, etc. Not full squads on their own.

Anyone know for sure?

For sure, they will be squads in their own right. I had a brief chat with Matt about the other Euro squads at the tourny. I was concerned that we would basically get 3 infantry units the same just a different paint job. He said that the 3 nations will deploy infantry squads that are different to each other.
