What scale are you using for WaW?

1:100 is the closest you're going to get to 15mm. That being said, FOW uses 1:144th scale for their aircraft and it looks okay.

Pendraken Minatures do some very, very nice 10mm figures and vehicles which work just dandy with N gauge.

Rats. So it's smaller. Anybody know a good place in North America for 10 mm men?

It's just too easy to buy the 1/144 tanks at Wal-Mart for $1.99 each. I was hoping I could buy some FoW men, and make it work. Sounds like I'd have tanks which would be too small to look realistic when troops were nearby on the board...

Some answers regarding scales and measurements:
6mm = 1/285 (appr. 1/300) - use all meas. in cm
10mm = 1/144 - use cm
15mm = 1/100 - use cm or inches (looks actually more realistic in inches; the gun ranges look fitting)
20mm = 1/72 - use inches
28mm = 1/56 - use inches
54mm = 1/32 - use 2x inches

All just approximates!
The real challenge in the smaller scales is the individual basing!

2 boxes of infantry plus a pack of Hat/Armourfast Shermans for about 1500 points would set you back about $30 dollars max.

I love how 20mm is actually cheaper than 15mm. Just need someone to make Finns (given that there is a Rumanian and Hungarian set someone has to do Finns at some point).

Don't forget Valiant Miniatures does 1/72 hard styrene plastic Tommies and Late Germans. They have also released GIs!! Hard to beat at $22 a box for 60 some odd troops and heavy weapons!!

And they are beautiful, just remember that they're bigger than other 1/72 scale plastic soldiers. Anyone know how they compare to 20mm models? If normal 1/72 are a little small next to 20mm figs, the Valiant stuff might be just right.

According to my boxes:
Valiant = 24-25mm
Rest of 1/72 = 20-22mm

Played a game this weekend with 15mm using inches and it played well. The one problem was that at this scale using inches, the buildings come out undersized. Might have to cm when determining building sizes.

We did like the size of the battlefield with 15s
