Last night I had a dream about the portfolio of the wealthiest Baron in known Space and wanted to know what do you think of his dream portfolio and the guards that with the money his portfolio makes him he hires to protect himself and his family

It is made up of 1 Hunting Estate worth Cr 120,000,000 that nets me Cr 600,000 per month, 1 Brandy Making business that is worth Cr 50,000,000 that nets me Cr 375,000 per month, 1 Industrial Property that is worth Cr 50,000,000 that nets me Cr 250,000 per month, 1 Stipend that is worth Cr 20,000,000 that nets me Cr 150,000 per month and 1 Agricultural Estate that is worth Cr 20,000,000 that nets me Cr 75,000 a month

That means that it is worth a total of Cr 250,000 that nets me Cr 1,475,000 a month before paying for his Forces and Cr 560 a month after paying Cr 1,474,440 a month for 5 200 ton, 4 100 ton, 3 300 ton and 1 500 ton Ships and A Force of 2 Companies of Soldiers made up of 97 Regular Soldiers and 69 Elite Soldiers to guard him

I think that giving these vast portfolios to players creates a situation where there is no point in them playing a typical Traveller game. Why would this person go adventuring? If they needed to do something they have money and connections that could be used to deal with the problem.

But you knew that, or ought to know that. It's been said often enough.
