I'm all jazzed up about the resurrection of the Noble Armada game and went looking what was previously released. There were a couple of fleet boxes released by Holistic Design (Agents of Gaming might have done the actual production).

If someone could provide pictures of painted miniatures of the Hawkwood/League plastics, I would be much obliged!

I personally hope that we'll see a bit more then three different ships per boxed set, I don't know about the numbers (price of metal used for miniatures has increased drastically in the intervening years). maybe we can hope for 1 Cruiser and 2-3 each of the Raiders, Frigates, and Galliots.

The class names of the other original plastic miniatures are:

The pics you have of the plastics are from me but those are the only ones I have assembled and painted.

I'm a fan of the "fleet action" scale of many of the ships.

We are indeed keeping with Noble Armada's original scale.

I would have guessed that they would be more expensive, not less! Kewl!

I think because Mongoose do not have to shell out astronomical sums for the license like B5. They can afford to pass this saving onto us poor gamers.

Holistic asked $30 for 3x4 ship models in metal, ten years later the price of metal used in casting miniatures has increased a lot. (Metal) Miniatures have become more expensive across the board, not less. That has nothing to do with the 'cheaper' license (compared to B5).

Just received some of the old Hawkwood and Decados Destroyers and Cruisers. The Destroyers are 45mm long and the Cruisers 65mm long. They are a bit smaller then I imagined...
