web-based character generation program

I used Python 2.5.4 to write my own character generator that saves a character sheet in Excel. It also generates the homeworld, government, and culture the character came from.

Or, what are the good PC character generating programs?

Thanks
I don't believe there is such a tool publicly available for Mongoose. I'm pretty sure it's been discussed before on these forums, some legal/copyright issues or something. Given the quality and depth of chargen in Mongoose Traveller I think it might take something away from the experience, but still extremely handy. Let me know if you find one.

I don't believe Mister Miller has licensed such. With the exception of the Megatraveller PC games back in the late 80's, I don't think he's ever provided a license for electronic products... which is why the e-books surprised me when they started appearing; they're questionable under the terms of the license posted on the FFE site. But since they've been available for a few years now and there don't appear to be any lawsuits from FFE in the works, I suppose MWM has chosen to regard them more as books than as an electronic product. It's only fair, since he's also gone somewhat that way himself in the intervening years.

No.

For Mongoose Traveller? No,

For T4, there was the Traveller Suite, if you can find it.

The best one for CT/MegaTraveller was in Hypercard.

To be honest it will have to be someones labor of love to do a new one weather or not it is licensed. As the market isn't big enough to support software as a profit making source.
