Wars in the Third Imperium

Hi,

According to Spinward Marches (I think), it is OK for different groups to fight wars against each other. Trade wars? Other wars?

I'm clueless :) Give me an idea about what is acceptable and what isn't.

TIA

Ian

1. Don't use nukes.
2. Don't use Biological weapons or other WMDs.
3. Don't interfere with Interstellar Trade within the Imperium.

3.5 Don't piss off the Navy.

Have fun!

Those seem to be the rules. Basically if you keep it to one planet, the Imperium usually looks at it as an "internal struggle" and stays out of it. Break any of the rules above and the Imperium will arrive with a BatRon of Tigress' and several dozen Divisions of TL15 Imperial Marines in full Battle Dress to fix the problem.

Typically they fix the problem by smashing both sides and then worrying about who started it and what to put in it's place.

you missed #4:

4. No taking out the production capability.

And absolutely don't go around singing the Zhodani Anthem on Strephon's birthday in the middle of a bunch of Marines, putting your hands on your head and saying "I know what you're THINKING, you naughty boys!" because FGMP-15 discharges are kind of harmful to your heatlh.

Serious note - for an example of the sort of wars they have in the Marches, look at what the Sword Worlds are doing, and what Collace and Trexalon are doing in District 268. These are perfect examples of cold wars, simmering away below the notice of the Imperium. They can be messy and bloody, but as long as neither side can claim to have blood on their hands, the Imperials won't make a move to stop them.

If I don't have the Marches book, what are they doing, exactly? Supporting rebels on each other's worlds?
