I will probably start and finish the painting today as I now do not have another final til Wed. next week.

any suggestions on improvements is much appreiciated

Awesome planet killer!

Only thing I noticed (which isn't even a big deal) is that the forward booms, the 'weapon arms' I guess... seem a bit short and thick and should be parallel after they curve (noticiable in the 005 image). Only thing I noticed. Other than that, spot on, a really impressive planet killer!

You know what, you are absolutely right. Just looking back at the pictures I used, the main top and bottom "tenticles" are always the same length.....poo. For some reason I thought the bottom arms were shorter. Oh well, I have already started painting so I don't think I will go back to change them now.

Oh and I forgot to give a size pic. relative to the rest of the freet.

hope you like, it took much longer to paint than anticipated. (mostly to me screwing up on the color scheme)

I also put red dots on the top to signify the different arcs

Fantastic work on the "Eclipse"

Not sure about the paint-job. If you have ever tried this "brush-spread method"? The thinned down grey paint spreaded on the model to create an random organic pattern. If have tried this on my planet killer and i am very satisfied with the result. I want to repaint my other vorlons with this method in the future.

Are you an Hobby- scratchbuilder??? Do you have made some other ships like this, also.

Yeah I actually looked at the paint job you did on yours are really liked it, the only thing was that when I looked online at pictures of vorlon planet killers, they usually had large patches of those greys mixed with the yellows so I opted to hand paint the blotched. (I guess I should have done both to get a better look, the bigger blotches then splatter for the little ones.)

As for the other question, this is the first ship I have built and if the vorlons get any new ship in the upcoming release, (hoping for at least two) I presume I will be making more since I will not be able to buy them.

In the result: You must like your paintjob

How sayed...I like the method with the random pattern.
Or you make all this "organic" dots by hand

Your VERY first ship...??? :D
If yes....fantastic work for your first project.

Ok, I have been trying to edit my posts for a while now to get the pictures up in the forum rather than a link. So far no luck.

I know you have to use the IMG box at the beginning and end of the url but I'm just not sure how to get the url from an individual picture.

Thanks for the help

What you do is isolate it on an internet page so that it's the only image there. Then you take the url from your address bar and copy/paste that to your post with the tags...

you can go to this page

and view my pic

or you can just take a look at it here with the tags:

you need a vorlon destroyer?

If this is to me, not really, I have 8 thus far. However I really need one or two more light cruisers, and/or vorlon fighters if you have any.

This goes to anyone who might have extras in these departments

I think I am going to start making a Vorlon Dreadnought as well.

Vorlon Dreadnought

PL: Ancient
Speed: 4
Turn: 1/45
Hull: 5
Damage: 150
Special Rules: Adaptive armour, Advanced Anti-fighter 6, Advanced Jump Engine, Flight Computer, Lumbering, Self Repair 4d6, so rare its Unique

Weapon.......................Range..Arc..AD..Special Rules
Super Lighting Cannon..30........F.....10..Beam, Precise, Quad Damage
Lightning Cannon..........24........F.....8...Beam, Precise, Triple Damage
Discharge Cannon.........18.......F.....12..Beam, Precise, Double Damage[/i]

I guess we'll seen how it goes. Does anyone have any pictures of one or can I get creative.

thanks

IIRC in the show they only use the heavy cruiser and the planet killer, but AOG have a FA scale dreadnought that you could use as a starting point...? ;)

Sweeeeet.

Ok so are all of those ships for sale, and if so, are the bracketed numbers beside the ship how many you get per amount?

eg. FA-2503 Vorlon Transport/Scout (4): $9.95

This means I get 4 for this amount?
