Victory at Sea Supplement - Order of Battle

Hi guys,

Just to let you all know, the supplement for Victory at Sea has landed on my desk and. . . it is good!

We'll have something in an issue of S&P soon that details what is in this mighty tome but, for now, you can expect to see something of 120-odd pages appearing later in the year!

Please release this in time for my convention (www.fallcon.com) in September. I know time is getting tight for a deadline like that, but I would really love to demo it.

Peace

when you say later in the year do we have an estimate of a release date as nothing is on the front page all the way up to september.

Our convention is this weekend so theres no chance of the magic Tome whatsoever :D but nevermind a good weekends gaming is predicted

it also incorporates the "Roll Call" tournament

There are several additional merchant ship "targets" in the potential list of supplement ships.

On top of that, we have additions to the US and Japanese fleets, as well as the Italian and Free French (yes, the Surcouf made the grade!).

I feel so special, I was mentioned in Planet Mongoose, and I didn't even have to bitch or moan!

Really looking forward to this, though I am saddened that you removed some of the Z-plan beasts. Will the old S&P rules still be regarded as official? Or should we move on to using Order of Battle only(and any new rules that come out after?)

Hmm. . . the Contents page?

New Rules
Motor Torpedo Boats
Admirals
Advanced Air Operations
Scenarios
Hunting the Beast
Expanded Fleet Lists
The Royal Navy
The Kriegsmarine
The United States Navy
The Imperial Japanese Navy
The Italian Navy
The French Navy
The Soviet Navy
Civilian Shipping

Oddly, I don't see a listing for the Royal Netherlands Navy - you know, the Singapore convoys, Java Sea, Sunda Strait ... those guys - and yet I do see a listing for the Soviet navy, which I assume means there will be an infantry combat section under New Rules. Is this just a typo or did the Dutch get the cold shoulder again?

LT

Yup, no Dutch in the supplement, so you'll have to do with the stats on my website for now.

Please tell me that at least the Italians got some aircraft and a light cruiser (or two). Ple-e-e-e-ease! Don't let all my dreams be crushed!

The ship stats have (where possible) been standardised on ships' outfit as of 1942. Since Japanese major units didn't receive FC radar until 1944 this means no radar for the Japanese I'm afraid.
