Vehicle Damage and Critical Hits

Critical hits in both the starship combat and vehicle combat rules are caused whe the effect of an attack is 6 or greater.

Starship combat also has the sustained damage rule: "A ship will suffer a severity 1 critical hit everytime it loses 10% (rounded up) of its starting hull."

I'm not seeing anything like this in the vehicle combat section. Am I missing it? Should it be there?

It may be intentional that the rule is missing from vehicles. They have a lot fewer hull points, so critical hit would occur far too often against them.

A standard air/raft has 16 hull points, and would take a critical hit if it took 2 points of damage (4, counting armor). ATV would be 6 (12 with armor).

Edit: Though small craft do have few hull points on their end of the scale as well, so that probably isn't a good enough reason. It may be because, with some ships having such large numbers of hull points, it gives a way to potentially disable the ship instead of having to slowly poke it to death. Vehicles (usually) wouldn't have that problem.

No, it only applies to ships.

That said, if you have created a setting where super heavy vehicles are the norm, it may be worth adding!
