Vargr homeworlds

The only world generation difference from standard is the incidence of balkanized worlds and the qualifications for the Rich trade code. No differences are noted for homeworld skills gained, though do note that the skill you mentioned at http://forum.mongoosepublishing.com/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=56217 appears to have been changed to (Infighting), at least in the PDF as just purchased this morning.

Traveller rules always have two sides of a story. The book mentions Bite being a freebie, and that two Melee skills are combined as Infighting. So I was happy with that. Then I read something later about teeth and claws while fighting (which made Infighting sound like it was two separate skills (Natural Weapon and something else, I don't remember)). And then Melee(Bite) 0 is mentioned.

I'm used to seeing ambiguous rules like these all the time. So for now, my Vargr melee skills look like this:

Infighting
Blade
Bludgeon
Bite

I see some nobility stuff showing up in homeworld generation. So I'll change that to something more about charisma or packs/clans.

Ok. I see now on page 105 of the Alien Module 2 book about the Vargr homeworld info. Now to decide if to generate Psion Vargr or not.

What about commissioned officers in the Army? Not really for Vargr? The rank numbers are different (starts with 1 instead of 0).

I would think that Vargr would have polearm skills available too, for those worlds that have either regressed or use polearms as honor-weapons.
 
Ok. I took Bite out and made Infighting 0 the default for Vargr.

ADDED:
Also added Language(Gvegh) 0 as a default skill.
