It could be instructive to have a look at non-western cultures as to their profanity styles.

I know Japan has a strong tendency to understate things. Even a strident "No" can be considered blunt. "Shit" (kuso) and "Idiot" (baka) are the usual ones. Religion doesn't seem to figure much.

But the Vargr are fairly passionate - I'd be thinking Spanish or Italian might be a good model.

Well, several Vargr cultures are described in canon and non-canon sources. Some can be hot tempered [as in Hispanic and Italians], some over prideful [as Americans or French], some more organized and methodical [English or German]. And that's not even getting into the Asian or Indian subcontinent tropes. There's enough room with both Imperial Humaniti and the Vargr to have all sorts of cultural behaviors.

Oh, for sure. But as a general trend, they're more flamboyant than Imperial humans. Just as Aslan tend to be less flamboyant. I feel a Vargr equivalent to a human culture is probably a bit more extra. Their democracies would be particularly multi party instead of tending to two or three parties. Their charismatic dictatorships would be *extremely* charismatic. Their non-charismatic ones would be particularly short lived.

Vargr tend to order themselves according to Charisma, and their structures are much more likely than others to mutate or splinter. That's probably where I was coming from.

Deadly insults might revolve around that.

"You'd follow a Bwap."
"Paper Boss."
"Why don't you ask a bot? You might get a response."

"Incompetent", "Poser", "Dull" and other descriptives insulting a Vargr's Charisma or ability to hold their position would be much stronger insults than among most Humans.
