update 20-05: A.D.Publishing 40% SALE!

Centurion I can take as a 'what if?' vehicle, but the Pershing? They saw active combat use from Feb '45. Comparing production figures, there were almost 3 times as many Pershings completed in WW2 compared to Tiger IIs.

I suppose if you meant the Easy 2 Pershings (which still saw combat!) fitted with the longer caliber 90mm gun...

The Tortoise would've made a good 'what if?'

Absolutely true, my wording was a bit sloppy.
Sorry about that.

As far as the Tortoise is concerned, I am already thinking about a 1946 What If or Wunderwaffen book.
Entwicklungsserie, Tortoise, American T-28 Super Heavy Tank, Super Pershing etc.

We'll see. First the remaining 3 Vehicle Compendiums, then the Chinese Army Compendium to compliment the Pacific War book.
After that I am open to suggestions.

I have just finished the Draft of my Chinese Army Compendium. The book will cover Chinese Armies (incl. the used vehicles) from 1937 - 1945.
I am planning to bring it out in March 2009 together with Mongoose official Pacific War supplement.

The 3 remaining Vehicle Compendiums should be out by February 2009.

The questions is, what to do then?
I have created the following topic on EvoCommand (I really do not want to clutter the Mongoose forum too much with the unofficial stuff), please jump over and give me your input concerning the next releases.

Will the book be out in time so I can offer it to my brother for Christmas?

We are trying very hard, but I fear that Christmas is too tight.
The problem is not so much the book but the corresponding units cards.
Just reviewing them took over a day for the German book.

Maybe we will offer the book o Christmas with a guarantee to upload the unit cards shortly afterwards (of course free for all who bought the book before)...
What do you think?

That seems like a good alternative to me. But I would like to have the book a couple of days before Christmas so I can have the time to send
it to the printer. I'm not going offer a PDF file as a gift!!! Take the time you need for the release Agis, I have a plan ''B'' for my brother's gift just in case 8)

Hey Agis, how about doing some vehicle compendiums (should that be compendia?) for Modern Combat? World War II has been done to death! :)

Maybe, but at the moment their is still a lot to cover in WWII. 8)
Modern Combat is very tempting, but I am not able to do anything before 2010!
 But I have this feeling that someone else might do something...

As long as someone does something. I'm sick of WW2 this and WW2 that. There are other periods of history, and there's a whole world out there right now - a world with cool things like assault rifles, cruise missiles, attack helicopters and main battle tanks. 8)

Hi again,

newest model for my upcoming British and Commonwealth Vehicle Compendium (see: http://www.agisn.de/html/british_vc.html).
A slightly converted Centurion MkI in 1:56. I made it a habit to include one "very" late war (aka "What If?") vehicle in my Vehicle Compendiums. For the British it is the Centurion.

Since there is no MkI around in 1:56 I decided to convert the excellent Force of Army Mk III.
Basically only the turret is changed, I sawed off some of the big side boxes and covered some gaps with some blanket rolls and jerry cans.
Works for me!
The crewman is from BAM, the extra stowage from Chieftain.

Oh and before the more historically oriented rivet counters ask, the model is representing the Besa armed prototype (could not find a suitable Polsten...).

first of all, amazing work on all compandiums already released. As a allied player I just cant wait till the U.S compandium to kick my axis friend behind.
I'm out of ideas to how to defeat the panther and king tigers that I stump across to often. Keep up the good work.
