upcoming demo campaign - feedback appreciated

I´m about to start a demo campaign in a local game store this friday. I´m putting together 5 different fleets, as well as the campaign map. Since I want to avoid counters at the beginning, the fleet selection is limited by my own miniature collection (which also lead to an interesting Abba/pak´ma´ra/Raiders alliance). So the starting fleets look like this:

EA 3rd age:

FP 1+2: command Omega
FP 3: Omega
FP 4: Omega
FP 5: Omega
FP 6: Omega
FP 7: 2 Novas
FP 8: 2 Hyperions
FP 9: 2 Hyperions
FP 10: 3 Artemis

Shadows:

FP 1: 2 Scouts
FP 2: 2 Scouts
FP 3+4: Shadow Hunter
FP 5+6: Shadow Hunter
FP 7+8: shadow Hunter
FP 9+10: shadow Hunter

*I´ll use the Shadow Ship miniatures to go with the Hunter stats

Minbari:

FP 1: 2 Tigaras
FP 2: Tinashi
FP 3+4: Sharlin
FP 5+6: Sharlin
FP 7+8: Sharlin
FP 9+10: Sharlin

Brakiri:

FP 1+2: Tashkat
FP 3: Avioki
FP 4: Avioki
FP 5: Avioki
FP 6: Avioki
FP 7: Avioki
FP 8: Avioki
FP 9: 1 Halik, 2 Ikorta
FP 10: 1 Halik, 2 Ikorta

*Still haven´t decided whether to use Avioki or Kaliva stats

FP 3+4: Pshul´Shi
FP 5: Lakara
FP 6: Lakara
FP 7: Raiders dreadnought
FP 8: Battlewaggon, Urik´Hal
FP 10: 4 Pak-Sunhawks; 2 wings Porfatis
FP 9: Bimith, Miliani, 2 Shyaries


Overall, some essential tactical choices are not included yet (I´m currently waiting for a couple of scouts for different races, for example), but players can of course by them later on using counters.

A new turn will begin every 2 weeks. I have a few players who already want to choose a fleet and participate regularly, the other fleets can be played by anyone who wants to give them a try.

Apart from ruining my brushes trying to get everything painted in time, I´m currently writing a little story and preparing a noteboard to keep players (and interested customers in the shop) up to date about what´s happening.

Now, what I like to know is if anyone of you has already some experience with "NPC-fleets" like I have planned them, or if anyone has a suggestion what kind of storyline I could include that also appeals to players who haven´t seen the series?

thats alot of big ships. guess if you demoing campaigns with that lot you're leaving out the random FAP level.

Yeah. 4 Sharlins? That minbari fleet would struggle in campaing most likely. Few 3-4 point skirmishes and he's toast so to speak

Well, it´s mostly a lot of canon ships; sadly they tend to be in the upper priority levels.

We´ll see about the random levels, I´d like to keep them - these are only the fleets as I can give them to the players anyway, everybody can make up their own lists, but will have to use counters on the smaller ships, or buy their own miniatures for them - but like I said, a couple of smaller miniatures are on the way.

Still, any advice from those of you who have run bigger campaigns in the past?
