Trojan Class - Skirmish


Departing slightly from the new standard design for warships, the Trojan was designed to minic the other races Stealth capabilities, as a test bed combing a passive stealthy architecher and ship design with an active stealth device. EarthForce decided to add militarise the ship and added short range weapons to it, the role it would come to fulfil is that of an assault ship which close's with its target and unleashes devastating firepower from such a small vessel, then board the target with the ship's adequate marine compliment.

*Only this ship may benefit from its scout rule, no other ship in the fleet may benefit.

I was origionally thinking of including breaching pods just didnt know how many.

the reason I gave it stealth it was origionally going to be an infiltration frigate, a forward recconassance ship, so a mini scout, but how to represent that?
 
Yeah I see what your trying to do but not sure how to represent either - almost need somethng like the Dark Eldar Mimic engines. hmm will have a think :)
 
Drop the scout, stealth alone is enough to adequately explain your fluff for the ship. Bump to Troops 6 and add Shuttles 2, for an assault ship its a bit lacking in the ability to actually assualt/board anything; a lot of Raid and up ships carry troops 5 or better.
 
heres the new stats, I was toying with the idea of lowering the hull to 4 however its not very Crusade EA like to have a hull lower than 4.

Maybe try a different approach? Perhaps treat the ship as a very large assault pod that attaches itself to the target ship instead of launching troops in smaller pods? Something to take out space stations and very large ships. Ditch any offensive weapons and concentrate on defensive ones, interceptors, anti fighter etc... hull 6 for survivability. What do you think?
