Triggy's Armageddon Ship Analysis

Thx for doing so ^^.

Its just that the G'Quonth is supposed to be a pure weapon beast from fluff. Yet it has less weapons than the Bin'Tak, not a single one more effective than its big brother, either same or weaker or not existant.

Also same speed, less fighters and worst of all, less damage taking ability. 85 versus 55 damage points.

Poor EA, no real War level choices now. But to be fair they do have a lot of choice elsewhere, which will hopefully encourage 'fleets'.

For Voronesh - I've looked through the entire Narn fleet now in detail and it's a simple case of all the ships are pretty balanced as far as I can tell aside from the Sho'Kos and Sho'Kov (both a good bit too weak, I'd probably make the medium pulse cannon 6AD on the Sho'Kos and the ion torpedo 2AD on the Sho'Kov) and the G'Quonth and G'Tal are very weak for War level ships - following in the grand tradition of the Omega and Hyperion command cruisers! They're both only slightly better than a Battle level ship and it would take a lot of beefing up on both their parts to make the grade. I'd probably make both of them damage 70/15, crew 80/21, add 2AD to each of their heavy laser cannon and make the twin arrays 12AD all around. Even then I'm not too sure about things and would probably prefer both to stay relatively the same but drop back to Battle level!

Thx. pretty much what ive been feeling as well.

Patrol lvl choices are pretty much useless. The rest is ok, except the G'Quan variants.
G'Lan would be preferable without the Lasercannon and upgunned maggun, but that is personal taste. CAF calling i know.
But both war lvl G'Quan variants are mostly a joke. Espeically since the G'Quonth is not a command variant but supposed to be a warship upgrade, maybe drop the ion torp launcher and make it battle, or cut the Lasercannon back by two and drop it to battle.
The G'Tal ive seen floating around the internet, without slow-loading and without weak on the respective weapons, that would kinda propel it into war nicely, otherwise drop the last fighter base and the laser cannon back to 3AD, and just drop it to battle.

I like the G'Quan especially since you get 4 rammed down yer throat with the boxset, but i normally use only one. Diversity is what my fleet wants, and i kinda want to give the Bin'Tak a break, but both G'Quonth and G'Tal dont manage.....
