Traveller Core Rulebook: Updated version available on DTRPG

So, to give it a good Traveller short-hand name it would be:

MGT/SP:CB1 Or just SP:CB1 or maybe CB1?

If you use Careers, then what do you do when Book 2 comes out?

Careers 1 and Careers 2

That looks like a new SKILL!?

:D

Well that doesn't have the Navigation skill, that's the sort of thing we first printing purchasers could do with.

Being worked on!

I still think (1) that the TL system needs to be revised slightly and (2.) my real name should be in there as a playtester.

I just downloaded the updated version and would like to say the new character art is awesome, thanks Mongeese you just turned this into a very very classy looking product.
:D :D :D

(Though I do agree with the Hiver about the character sheet.)

It's on pg 56 of the Main Core Rulebook. The one I have has all the errors and bought it around June from E-bay.

I would ask the Traveller team to produce a deadtree of the latest version

Already at print. . .

So your telling me that you are going to have a second printing with all of the errors fixed up?

That would be nice and you would get some of my hard earned dollars!!!

No one ever considers the feelings of the character sheet,

It felt like an old person eating tripe then getting a taste of sirloin steak,
I think the character sheet is happy now :)

Maybe in yours it is but not in mine, no Navigation skill at all in that section, picked mine up at Mongoose Hall.

I know I'm a stickler for errata, but even I don't make any of them up

 :o Wow, that is bad.

Does it fix the numbering on the ship encounter table? The one I have left off #s around 48-51 IIRC.

Well, I'm considering getting a download this week - to go with the Pocket book (which looks like it won't quite be released in November after all, so I'll have to wait a bit longer). I'm not to aggrieved, as I won't be travelling till the end of the year now, anyway (VISA delays are worse than game delays! Bah!).

Anyway, could I just have the assurance that the Drivethru download is definitely updated with new art, etc?

Don't worry - I've downloaded it anyway, and it does look much more attractive. Especially the splat pages.

Is this art going to make it into the pocket book though?

Highly unlikely, given the size of the pocket book version. I have two OGL D&D pocket books (*GASP!!!*) from Mongoose and there's no art in either.

I had a conversation about the pocketbook before. It's a bit of a mystery, and the art itself is not a major issue for me. I just want it to have an attractive, readable layout.
