Thinking about buying into the EFTF

I can field either a minimun strengh Infantry or Armoured force with

2 Infantry
2 Challies
2 Warriors with command squads.

Would still like to know if armoured command squads need to have a warrior... not that it really matters as they will have one when my figs finally arrive :)

i agree min 2 of each box will give you a great start to the brits, then in future just add more infantry and challys when you can.

i think the changing of theo words will be all size one modles in units must be mounted in a transport, to save confusion.

Was thinking of some German Leopards, that way I will have some general pupose powerhouse tanks, and some real tank killing anti tanks (I am fairly certain that the 140mm gun on the Leopard is gonna make it one hell of a tank killer  )

Cheers for the clarification, now have my army pointed :)

Basic armour company
2 Challies
1 Inf in Warrior
1 Command Squad in Warrior
expanded with
1 Leopard
1 more Challie
1 more mounted Inf
then support of SAS (with Future Lynx), Panzerfaust or AA as required.

Basic Infantry
2 Mounted Infantry
1 Challie support
1 Command Squad or (Challie command if possible which I somehow doubt)
then support as above.

from what I've seen it definitely is! :D

i want to do a seperate german force, i econ it wont take much for them to hit 1 k and i can ally them with my brits or use seperatly.

wonder what apc they would use as a warrior doesnt seem right.

Yup, and no armour saves allowed against it. From what i have seen

is that buy rule book or playtest rules though ?

if its by rule book thats a shame as challys work in 4 tank units always in pairs.

But wether there's 1 command per pair is another thing...

Get that 4th Challenger then.

Alternatively: Just call it understrenght formation. It's not like every formation is full strenght all the time anyway.

Not that there was much of armour saving with -4 anyway...Even 2+ is at 6+ aka useless. You have faced kill result before that save is going to alter things anyway

Ability to blow out challenger in cover in one go though...Now THAT'S the killer.

i thought it was scary before  my German army playing mates will be cheering over this.

i reeeeeeealllly need that Cobra now at the minimum (or if the all powerful and benevolent Mongoose gods let happen, a AH-64D)... that Leo 2 is too scary :D

Why you would want to be shooting at a Challie I have no idea..... we should work together agaisnt the enemies of the federation....

I just want to take one up against my mates Shadows... they are going to disappear like shadows do in direct sunlight.

leap 2 can be scary but its got the same armour as the M1A2 rules waise so challis havnt got to worry to much. and yanky shadows will make a mess of it.

They are brits! I imagine folks responsible for my internet connection are british targets. Very satisfactory  Ah the fun of driving british infantry off with some well placed 15cm cannon fire from brumbar. Run fellows RUN!

More seriously handy tool to have around in tournament when you run into another EFTF. Suddenly that challenger II might actually be worried in tank vs tank duel

Assuming they can get within 40" range when it can start shooting at them at 90" from what I have seen

If there's so little terrain that 40" range finds it hard to find targets then you are fielding too little terrain

If I am fielding 72" guns and 90" guns then the only terrain is going to be my portable railway tunnels *GRIN*
