I was recently searching in my 2000AD collection for inspiration for a Gangs of Mega-City One scenario (the Luna Olympics) , and , instead , I found myself re-reading this fantastic strip , The V.C.s.
The name stands for Vacuum Cleaners , and the strip tells the story of a group of space soldiers aboard a starship fighting against an alien race called the Geeks.The strip is full of humor , hard SF concepts and military storylines like Starship Troopers , but what I really like is the design of the battle suits ,the star ships and the environments , a good mix of hard SF and retro space opera.Also I like the man to man vacuum battles , featured prominently in the strip.This is fantastic material for a Traveller expansion , a miniature game or a boardgame!
