The lost tales??? Centauri fighter

I think they had lost the original Vorchan / Sentri CGI models.....so rather than use fan created clones they took the opportunity to redesign them from the ground up. So I suppose we should look at these as being next generation Vorchans/Sentris............stats please?

they definitely didn't lose the Vorchan CGI. If you look at the special effects bonus segment you'll see that in the design stage the Vorchans in that scene were in fact the old one-piece wing/two part engine models.
So the design changes are cosmetic, not due to loss

Still, it'd be nice to own one... Hope MGP will publish it.

I think there were 2 of them firing on the first Warlock.
I wonder that the Warlock exploded that quickly :?

What I mean was lost the original Foundation CGI....I believe fan based CGI was used as a base model...but was not up to the standards required for broadcast.....the loss by Warner Brothers of the original CGI was criminal.
Fan based CGI was used for some long shots...hence the Balvarin and Tashket models used.

I think it was an Uber-Vorchan, certainly looked like a pretty big ship , no doubt choc full of Drakh goodness, but still vulnerable to being impaled on a GOD beam.
...and by that timeframe..maybe the Warlock is a bit old hat ..... The Warlock class was a radical change in EA ship architecture......naval development tends to see these first of a kind types rapidly surpassed.....i.e HMS Warrior and HMS Dreadnaught............

I guess the Warlock is in this time frame the same as the Hyperion in 2259-2270.

Old but builded in big numbers, so that it needed many years to phase them out.
And if there an anatology to today navies, there the Ships where used for 15-30 years too.

So I think the Warlock hold it own very good against these new Vorchans.
It´s the same as you would put an Hyperion against an Omega.

Or I´m wrong ?

BTW is it an Omega duelling a Primus in the background?

If they're still around, the Warlocks haven't completely replaced them yet. Then again, as of the Crusade Era, Warlocks are considered very expensive ships. Canonly speaking, of course...

The new Vorchans def blasted the Warlocks very quickly -even one of them 8) - but then B5 battles have always been brutal affairs - beams (from anyone) usually kill ships if they hit and few ships of any race can take many hits....................

I remember an attack of a special Vorchan/Demos which killed a G`Quan with one volley ;).

So take it as ever.
There is balanced power for games and there is the plot power for stories :).

I can bet if the EA needs too look good (and the enemy not so frighting) the Warlock will/can destroy two or three Vorchans. ("Plot power" ;) )

Yeah, from "In the Beginning". 6 shots, and as we so concisely say: BOOOM!

You're right. IMO the scene in TLT was designed to capture the idea that EA will loose or at least suffer badly if the Centauri do declare war.

yes I think you are totally correct there.....what better way to get Sheridan on your side than show Earthforce being kicked and New York getting zapped

Good point especially as it is from a technomage and the "vision" is presumably edited to whatever he wants.................for instance do we ever see any Centauri ships firing the beams that devestate Earth? nope! Is there any evidence that it is even in the same period of time?

Just a battle for some unknown reason between Earth and Centauri ships.............with no apparent allies on either side...............

:D

Plot-powered weaponry.As with all sci-fi shows.
Which reminds me: That's supposed to be a demos, right?
Shouldn't the in-service date for the demos allow that?

the "In the Beginning" Narn ship is not a G'Quan its a G'Koth transport cruiser
