No I don't think they were ever in the series. Whether AoG got them from somewhere or made them up themselves I'm not sure.
From what I remember of the AoG stuff they had a liking for fighters (lots of them, almost every ship carried some, and the larger ones carried loads) and they used a lot of Ion weapons.

Basically thrill seekers 
A whole race of Mongoose like furry thrill seekers.
Their doctrine is fighter heavy, more so than the EA.
The name and background came from the show or the Sierra CD rom, not entirely sure which, and AoG interpolated it somewhat into the fleet listings. The RPG's League supplement has a little bit on them which pretty much gels with the AoG stance.
Basically, you saw their nameplate at the League occassionally, but you never saw them as I think that Cascor are incapable of sitting down long enough with their attention span
