Did you see the episode with Luke Skywalker? That had to be surreal with Frank Oz doing both the voice of Miss Piggy and the voice of Yoda.

Strange, tho, that every time I hear or see Pigs in Space, I think of this song now.

You might want to check out Alistair Reynolds' Revelation Space series. I don't think they appear until the second or third book, but you'll get your fill of uplifted pigs.

In the Rust Belt side novels, there's an uplifted pig who's a cop. I'm pretty sure the pun is intentional.

A police pig would be a very dangerous thing. A wild pig can put most lone hunting dogs or a lone wolf to flight. With the tail between the doggies legs. And that is the female, the male is more dangerous.

So a pig walking on two legs would be "One Riot - one cop". Or "This is Inspector Calahan. He can bite your head off. Now did he have breakfast this morning..."
