Anyone remember the HUD eyepiece from MegaTraveller? The real world commercial version is now available.

But that one just monitors a limited set of one's own vitals. The Glass version receives much more data (Internet pages) and transmits real-time video back (possibly via satellite feed?). The critical parts are "...they jumped out the aircraft wearing wingsuits, before opening parachutes and landing on the roof of the building." and "The crowd was able to follow the event live through the Glass devices worn by the participants."

It'd be great if the two can be combined; the profile of the clip-on is much smaller and the device can be clipped to one's own sunglasses/prescription glasses making it much more useful for military applications if it could handle the data the Glass version does.

The data isn't relevant. You could wire any data up to it. The tech isn't new in the commercial realm.
