Mongoose
The runway opened yesterday with passenger flights expected in 18 months.

Seriously.

So..is Mongoose going to sell its Traveller line in a store off the main concourse? :D

So they managed to build an almost 2 mile runway. Big whoop, we've had those for decades.

The fact thatthey built at the site of the planned spaceport is mildly interesting, but honestly, building a 2 mile runway is no big thing. The news is making more of it than it deserves, though the info on the recent test flights is more interesting.

SOrry, just a bit turned off by the space tourism ep of CSI:Miami I saw this week. Dear God how bad was that!!!!

If anyone can do it Branson can. Great news for commercial spaceflight. But at £1500 a minute its a bit out of my league at the moment.

It's not really just that. There is also some training provided so you get more then just the actual weightless time but I know what you mean it is not exactly cheap yet.
