System Hack - Input needed

OK, I wanted to share and get input on something that's been running through my head. I want to expand on the player sharing in world building. Basically, there would be some type of token assigned (not sure on the quantity) that you would spend to define a part of the world. Example: "The Northwall Orcs are marching against us? **spend token** But between us lies the Deadreach Marshes. They must either take a week to go around, or march ~through~ them, and they are infested with dragons."

Still working on how those tokens would be regenerated/awarded. Maybe putting the characters in to positions that challenge them or drive the story in interesting directions. Obviously that would be kind of subjective. But something like I offer a token with a statement like "The army is lead by Tam Tolth, who has issue a challenge to single combat. If he is defeated, their army will withdraw." Something that puts the characters a chance to risk it all for a cause, and maybe earn a Hero point.

A second thing I've been toying with is the idea of allowing Hero points to be spent to advance weapons/items. Basically, things that could be considered of an heirloom nature. They could spend a Hero point to unlock, say, extra damage against certain creatures, or make a shield un-sunderable.

Has anyone done something similar to either of these concepts? Curious to see how they could be tweaked to work within the system.

There's the enchantment rules that were removed from Legend:
http://mrqwiki.com/wiki/images/1/18/RunequestFull.pdf
p.51
If you use this it keeps the abilities within the limits of existing spells and magic in your setting.

Nice. Thanks.

You're better off using the Enchantment rules from Arms of Legend, pg 138.

The rules in the PDF link provided are for MRQ1 and might not be fully compatible. Of course, that may not bother you, but if it does...
