Sword Worlds fashion?

Greetings,
Is casual armour-wearing as common among Sword Worlders as recent artwork suggests?

If so, is it actual armour or regular clothing made to look like armour?

If actual armour, what kind? Perhaps jack, it sounds like something in between clothes and armour.

The lack of armour in the personal equipment field among Sword World characters in Skandersvik suggests that it could be regular clothing - or that the door to the armoury is always left unlocked.

On a related note, in some images throughout the SW book (p.49 is a perfect example) people are shown clad in a full suit of armour, anyone has any ideas what that might be? I’m guessing either poly carapace, Combat environment suit or combat armour...?

Probably not as extreme as the Mandalorians.

Jack and cloth can be inconspicuous if tailored well, so it could be ceremonial if it is conspicuous.

Swordworlders probably don't feel the need to show off, so they would be pragmatic if they're wearing any form of protection.

Not Mandalorian level, no, but in the artwork throughout Sword Worlds and Skandersvik, almost everyone wears what looks like some form of armour vest. Throwback to Vikings and chainmail shirt perhaps.

Jack or cloth sounds reasonable, a little protection while still comfortable, with a dash of fashion statement?

I do think, that expensive trinkets that are easily carried and even easier to liquidate for cash, would be popular.

Portability would be key, and equipment is likely to be the highest quality available, or at least, reliable.
