Yes, there are a few errors & omissions in that book. Probably the worst are the weapon tables; they've not been converted at all and are straight from MRQ1. Highly unfortunate. If I ever get my finger out and finish Stormhaven, I'll go through it and suggest some corrections. My biggest problem is available time to work on these projects unfortunately.

While the weapons tables are bad, they aren't totally unsalvageable. The majority of the weapons HAVE been updated ... in Arms of Legend. (and the throwing rock was found in Vikings of Legend)

Arms of Legend does not include stats for the following weapons: Belaying Pin, Boarding Axe, Boarding Pike, Cat o' nine tails, Tomahawk, Unarmed, and Whip. And unarmed damage should be calculated elsewhere in Legend, and the Whip can requires minimal tweaking to work. You just have to remember adding the feature "Can be used in close quarters"

It's not a perfect match on black powder weapons, but you easily toss everything listed in Pirates and just use the black powder section of Arms.

Yes I understand that correct details for most of the weapons can be found elsewhere, however, that's not the point. If you're using a campaign sourcebook that includes specific weapons for that era/campaign, IMO they need to be correct, you shouldn't have to flick to another book for the correct details. To me, that is highly annoying.

It would be nice if Mongoose updated the PDF version of Pirates of Legend to fix the weapon stats - ideally the stats in Arms of Legend should be identical to those in later works unless they are explicitly superseded. Having a dedicated line editor would help. but this is probably not possible in the current economic climate.

Nothing moves quickly at Mongoose lol

I sent them proof read updates for Sheoloth cults 2 months ago and still havn't received notice of an update!

Do the work and send it in for them - I think an update is more likely if the work is already done and they don't have to actually do it! :)

True. One of the strengths of Mongoose has always been their ability to release new content on a regular schedule. But C7 also produces a lot of stuff under license and needs to go through an approval process..
