I am presently starting writing a supplement for ACTA, it set in a alt universe (a bit like Darkness Rising) and I am looking for people who would be willing to help - be that looking at rules, background or general playtesting. If you are interested please PM me for more information or post on this thread. Thanks for your interest.

"
In the year 2231/2232, the Vorlons observed the carnage of the Dilgar war, the rise of Chaos that might stimulate their ancient enemies to awaken. They anaylzed the home star of the Dilgar, discovering that it had been tampered with by the Shadows. Seeing an opportunity, they decided to foil the plans of the Darkness and recruit the Dilgar. They saw in them a race singleminded enough to serve them but who they could mould and use to unleash upon those corrupted by the ancient enemy. As a Strike fleet was returning home through hyperspace to stage its last stand against the Liberation navy, the Vorlons took them. Omelos was destroyed by a early flaring of the sun.

The Drakh, having lost their latest puppets in the Dilgar, turned to the increasingly powerful Earth Alliance. They offered to help share the new tech but this would have dire consequences. Earth was assaulted and destroyed in the year 2250 by an unknown fleet, who vanished back into the void. The surving human colonies rebuilt, under the Belt Alliance. the Super station projects were built. 5 of them were completed, with one of them, the 5th, called babylon being used as a diplomatic post. the military one had vanished under misterious circumstances, and the first three were meant as colony worlds. Able to move from place to place."

that weas some of the backgroudnh of the supplment so far. it is still mutable. have not laid anyhting in concrete yet.

I find it a bit strange that the Vorlons would help the Dilgar as they destroyed many of the races the Vorlons wanted for the next great war as allies.

If the Dilgar survived and rebuild under Vorlon guidance, there is no garantee that the rest of the Galaxy would not fire upon them by reckognizing them as the league has not forgotten what the Dilgar have done to their worlds during the War. I remeber what the league at least wanted to do to Jah'Dur.

yeap. that is the idea for the shadow league. offical doesn;t exisst. but using shadow tech rpovided by mr. morden and his allies ot get back at the dilgar who are now protected by the vorlons and have vorlon tech.

and ye,s hte league is going after them. although teh vorlons meant ot keep them in reserves, the shadows have let the secret out

They took Jack the Ripper for a puppet, I could easily see them keeping a pet Dilgar contingent as a weapon of war.

Ripple

I just see Earth developing their ships into a very different direction when we know. No Omega, but some other ship. A Hyperion refitet with Drakh Tech and possibvly some sort of EA Raider

To ripple: yeah. they wanted a weapon they coudl unleash against others. just not so sure if they took Dar'san's fleet, Sha'dhur's fllet, or jha'dur's fleet.

Tolwyn: yeah. Earth although is gone, although humanity survives, at least planned so far. they migth use some drakh tech, but not so sure if any tech survived. adn msot likely they woudl go into a different direction. maybe with teh earth gone, the league helps earth more directly, with supplies adn advanced tech, maybe.

I think it's much more likely that the Shadows would preserve a seed of the Dilgar race. They were something like chaos incarnate, warlike and violent. The Shadows would have been proud of them.

as Ripple said - a bit like taking Jack the Ripper................

although the Agent from Serenity would have made a good Vorlon Agent............?

re the ideas:

The new Dilgar ships could look very different to conceal their origins. Perhaps only when a ship/crew is captured does the secret come out?

It will also will be interesting to decide how the Minbari react - does Jha'Dur get captured by them or not?
If the Earth Minbari war does not take place this leaves the Minbari in stronger position and eases tensions between the castes?
But what is happening to the Minbari souls - if the Dilgar just killed millions of them on Earth - they will not be best pleased and perhaps they work to save the remaining ones (and the rest of humanity) and seek to find out more about these new attackers. They could think them agents of the Shadows?

These Vorlons could be more decisive and agressive - perhaps no Kosh aspect - and determined to stamp out Shadow influence before they awaken. Perhaps these purges begin to build an alliance aginst them and their chosen - or not.

If Jha'Dur is saved by the Vorlons - I can't see her "serving" anyone for too long before she tries and turns their weapons against them.

The Narn / Centauri war could progess very diferently - perhaps Earth assists the Narn to vanquish the Centauri? Or maybe the two powers simply smash each other into near oblivion without the deciding power of the Shadows?

Maybe they could wear red helmets

hmmm, woudl be interstin if both were done, that is, both the vorlons adn sjhadows save dilgar. migth be nice.

the destroying earth thing, well, nto so sure how that came about, but was na idea that came form somewhere.

as for the vorlons, sure. or maybe Kosh and the like are a minority with these new volrons? a kind of splinter vorlon faction decidesa to help out, whiel the main jsut want ot smash the shadows once adn for all?

and as for the minbari, well, yeah, teh mimbari woudl be working to sav the rest of humanity, and be looking for the new attackers. they woudl defiantely think of them as shadows. earth woudl also be on teh war path. rebuilding adn lokng for the attackers.

any one have any fluff ideas, r history thingsx? looking for ideas.

and red helmets/ why red helmets? sure I am missing the joke.

The Redhelms were a race show in one episode of Season 5.
There are very few infos about them. As far as I know there is one ship from thein the Shipbook for the B5 RPG

The Red Helmet race are from the episode, "A View From The Gallery". They are not really shown much, because the episode centres on two cleaners, Bo and Mack, rather than the series regulars. The Red Helms just appear, attack B5, then disappear, never to be seen or heard from again.

okay thanks. makes sense. although, hmmm, maybe they coudl have red suits and the like....

any idea what the vorlon'ed dilgar ships shoudl be like? what short of weapons?

and any ideas for fluff? that woudl eb nice to hear. nto the best at fluff, to be honest.

A quick note on the whole 'Minbari Souls thing' though is that the Minbari, from what I got in the end, were WRONG.

Their evidence for humans having their souls is that the human they captured had 'valens' soul, but since

(WANRING HUGE SPOILER IF YOURE ONE OF THE FEW PEOPLE WHO HAVENT ACTUALLY WATCHED THE WHOLE SERIES YET.....)

the human they captured WAS Valen this is hardly surprising! And furthermore if the Minbari never went to war with them and all that they would never find this out anyway unless the Vorlons told them. Which actually bring up another interesting point: If B5 as we know it never happened, Valen wouldnt go back in time and the Minarbi would have LOST the previous shadow war. So they might not even be around.....

It never really confirmed whether the Minbari soul thing was right or wrong. Yes, Sinclair had Valen's soul (or was it his DNA?) which is no surprise. But that doesn't prove that souls don't exist, or that Minbari souls aren't being reborn into humans. In Soul Hunter and River of Souls, you can see the souls...

well, what do you think happened to the military super station that vqnished? that was the space station. aka, this AU's bablyon 4. the super stations are form teh dilgar war novels, and are basically ther babylon stations, IIRC.

also, figured in this one, they meet Sincalir, and tst him anyway, and they find out, in a peaceful manner. although, any advice in helping me peice together a timeline and good history for this AU supplement, greatly appreciated.
