Supplment idea

With hull 6, I'd compare it to a Porfatis or a Riva, rather than any other fighter. They have dodge 6+ and 5+ respectively. Giving it 3+ makes it much more hardy than both of those, and in fact, easily the most hardy fighter in the game. It's hard to kill with anti-fighter, hard to kill with energy mines, hard to kill with accurate weapons because even without dodge, it does still have hull 6!

In short it is very hard to kill. And it's weapons are as good as a Nials. So I would either drop it to 2 per wing, or change dodge to 5+. Could make dogfight negative, but that is diminishing returns, -2 will pretty much always lose so -6 is no disadvantage.

I thought 3 per wing was enough - but prob not good enough to go 2 per wing. I compared it with the Pikatos and the Riva (dodge 4+ and 5+ repectively  ) Both these are worse at dogfighting but can act as bombers outside AF range. Its probbaly on the cusp of either 2 or 3 per wing...........?

definately not a 2 per wing as Nials will eat it and they are hull 4 with dodge 2+ and stealth backing them up.
consider the other 4 per wing ships - starfury, 2+ dodge, hull 5. firepower not quite as good but alot better dogfighter and faster.
T-bolt, as mentioned can sit outside the range of AF, is faster and has more weapons as well as hull 5, dodge 3+.

TBH i really think it fits in at 4 per wing but the best change would be to make it hull 5 or dodge 4+ as firepower wise its not on par with the hull 6 bombers.

okay, so to revise it to make it acceptable,

Klartrik flight (wing of 4 flights) Patrol
One Queen provided huge warrior drones to be melded with and converted by
the shadow tech provided by Mr Morden;'s allies in the shadow league. Always
looking to adapt and evolve - the shadow emissary had found a perfect race
to build a war machine of devastating ability. Resilient and powerful but
still as disposable as any Gaim drone these fighters became feared wherever
they were encountered.

Speed 10, Dogfighting 0, Turn SM, Hull: 6

Special: Dodge 5+, fighter,

Light phasing Slicer, range 2 T 3 Mini-beam

okay. also, two more ship designs:

thrun heavy attack fighter Patrol (2 wings per flight)
Speed 10 dogfighting -1
turn SM craft: -
hull 5 STR: fighter, dogde 4+
Heavy BOlt cannon 3 T 3ad AP, DD

and
Sky pthyon Super heavy fighter Patrol (1 wings per flight)

This is a deadly corruption of a sky serpent fighter.

speed 8 dogfighting -1
turn sm craft _
hull 6
SR: fighter, dodge 4+, atmospehric
mini slicer beam 3 T 1 AD beam

1st looks fine.

The 2nd one looks at bit weak really. Make it 2 0r even 3 per wing i would. Justifacation the vorlon fighter really kicks its arse.

Its faster
Better Dogfight
Better dodge
Fantastic AF (for a fighter)
Better Beam

Con
Better hull on the Sky Python

Actually thinking about make the beam either DD and 2 per wing or make it 4 per wing as the vorlon fighter at 3 per wing is clearly better.

4 per wing looks ok, they have the same firepower as a Nial but are basically alot worse in every other way.
Apart from defense against AF.
And e-mines.
So... basically, better in every way except ship main weapons and dogfighting!

and speed and dodge.
Oh yeah forgot about speed. But dodge, is only useful against ship main weapons. It has hull 6, which is a better defense than a good dodge.

hull 6 is ok unless being shot at by mini beams etc :D
2+ dodge and stealth 5 with hull 4 compared to hull 6 and dodge 5+.

that fighter is not as awesome as you make it out to be. most the other hull 6 fighters dont even have to get into anti-fighter range, at least this one does.

Yeah I already conceded that with dodge 5+, 3 per wing was fair but still a pretty good fighter. Hull 6 makes it pretty resiliant to anti-fighter anyway! A 1 in 6 chance to get shot down, or 1 in 3 by AAF. Pretty good odds compared to say a Nial, that has a 1/2 chance of dying to AF or 2/3 chance to AAF!

next, plan to showcase osm edilgar ideas:

DeathWalker dreadnought Armegeddon

Speed 8 Damage 63/12 Craft : 2 flights throun heavy fighters
Turn 1/45 crew 65/15
Hull: 6 Troops: 6 SR: AA, self repair 1D6, flight computer, Jump Engine, Unique

Superior discharge gun: 18, B, 6AD, SAP, SL, QD
bio pulsars 10, T, 12 AD, TL
Heavy Bio bolters, 15 F 12 AD AP, DD
Heavy Bio bolters, 15 A 6 AD AP, DD
Heavy Bio bolters, 15 P 10 AD AP, DD
Heavy Bio bolters, 15 S 10 AD AP, DD

and of course, suggested by charles,

starburst Raid/skirimsh

speed 15 damage 15/3 craft: none
turn 2/90 crew 13/2 SR: Adaptive Armour, agile, self repair 1,
flight comp, jump engine
Hull 4/5 troops 1

Discharge gun 18 B 2AD, Beam TD
Heavy Bio Bolters 15 F 5AF, AP, DD
(points to anyone who recongizes what this ship is meant to be)

your armageddon ship has far too small a damage/crew rating. even with AA, look at the victory for ideas, should be around 100+ damage.

why make bolters bio bolters? they the same stats.
also whilst they would have some tech I am sure they would not have everything vorlonised. even WSs in the original thing only had AA and SR, not every ship got all vorlon weapons etc.

okay. can do that. any suggestipoins then? although current fluff says they are being moldedf, the dilgar. was just a thought. any ideas and comments are greatly appreciated.

Here is my story idea for now:

The next great game was coming, so the Shadowas and Vorlons thought. Who would win this time? Would order be preserved or would the Galaxy shrink into chaos?

The Dilgar homeworld’s sun was doomed. A small yellow star nearing the end of it’s life circle, at least after somebody decided that it was its destiny. It changed the life of an entire species and lead to one of the most brutal wars of the known galaxy: the Dilgar War. During the course of the war the Shadows started to woke up from the century long slumber, seeing how the Galaxy had changed. What they fought pleased them. Not only were the Dilger rolling up the League, but they also lived the Shadows’ age old philosophy of strength through conflict. But the Vorlons were already active behind the scenes, too.

Nearing the end of the war and the start of the siege of the Omelos system, the Vorlons learned who had shaped the fate of the entire Dilgar race: Thousands of years before the Dilgar War the Shadows altered the fusion reaction of the sun’s core, so that it would age at a more rapid pace and go supernova at some point in the future. The Shadow’s plan was to come to Omelos to offer survival at least to those they deemed appropriate to fit their plans for the next coming Great War. After this they would alter the Dilgar as they had the Drakh and use them as ferocious shocktroopers against the rest of the universe.

The Vorlons decided this was not to be. A plan was laid out that should forge some Dilgar into a sharp dagger for the guardians of order, someone who would be sent out to punish everybody who was corrupted by Shadow influence, leaving no trace to Vorlon interference. So a Strike Fleet who was returning to Omelos was lured from Hyperspace and completely disabled, all Dilgar being transfered to the Vorlon craft. Back in Vorlon space the Dilgar were reconditioned telepathically so they behaved in a less xenophobic manner and were absolute loyal to orders from the Vorlons. With long range scanners and regular patrols the Shadows couldn’t rescue a single Dilgar without being noticed. But in a dark corner of the Universe the Shadow had made plans for themselves.

When Omelos sun went nova the Dilgar were extinct from the Galaxy, or a least it seemed so. The Dilgar in Vorlon space prospered under Vorlon influence.

The Shadows instead roared up in their strongholds seeing one of their favorite projects being killed, but they had not the strength to do something about it. When the Earth Minbari War erupted the Shadows witnessed for the first time what the Vorlons had done for the last thousand years. Not only that they had forged the Minbari into a powerful weapon against them, they had directly interfered into evolution by granting telepathic abilities to many species and manifesting themselves as gods. This was cheating of the highest level.

Seeing the situation as dramatically unfavorable to them, the Shadows started to plan new plots and schemes to enhance their strength. In humanity they saw a race with potential for future development as well as the Centauri. At least mankind was favorable over the Centauri as they were feared after the miraculously won the Earth-Minbari War. So a delegation of Drakh was sent out to ask the eon old question: “What do you want”. Earth Gov easily fell into the trap looking for any technological advantage they could in case the Minbari came back to finish what they had started. But with doing this they angered the Vorlons and brought doom to earth. Rather than see humanity being corrupted by the Shadows, the Vorlons chose to sacrifice them and test their new Dilgar soldiers.

Earth was totally unprepared for the attack and the defense swept away easily thanks to Vorlon enhanced technology. After destroying the defenses the Dilgar brought their doomsday weapon into orbit, destroying Earth with a single blow from its Discharge Array. Together with Earth vanished dozens of ships still under construction at the shipyards as well as Zeus Station, Earth Force’s central command hub.
