Streamlined?

Also their are Electrostatic Forces, the more bits sticking out the more electricity in the form of Static the object will build up and possibly at different polarities on different parts of the ship, these will they and neutralise them selves by Arcing either along the Hull or through hour interior burning out Electrical work since they have no convenient Earth.

Their is all kinds of Bad to be caused by bringing an Anti- or even Non- Streamlined Ship in to n Atmosphere.

Good point - though MGT ships would need protection from this in any event - funny you bring this up - yesterday I was talking to my dad - he builds space instruments for a living - for the JUNO (Jupiter New Frontiers Mission) instruments the normal teflon tape (yep -the same stuff used in household plumming - you see it all the time on space equipment) can't be used to wrap the instrument power and data cable - because it will conduct in the extreme electro-magnetic fields the craft will be subject to (the probe is only expected to last one year in this environ). The cables will have to be shielded with aluminum gauze and wrapped in a special tape. (And apparently this is a royal pain to do ;) )

Arcing, Lightning and Hail can all be used to effect when describing atmospheric operations - not to mention auroras, volcanic vents and cryovolcanoes!
