Also, the suggestion of getting a Traveller: Star Wars license isn’t just a trite request for a popular setting to be adapted (it is that too, of course!). It is, symbolically a statement of intent from Mongoose that they can reach out to a much, much larger audience and potentially, a massively increased market for the Traveller brand as a whole by association. It would be saying, in effect, that Traveller is practically as ‘big' as D&D.
The fact that they both share the same 50th Anniversary is also a boon. The modern Traveller system can easily handle the setting (as has been shown with unofficial fan versions) and I don’t believe any other company is really doing anything with Star Wars roleplaying currently.
