Stargate ACTA conversion

Bit of a necro post here but it's relevent. Anywho with the last episode of Atlantis showing us the super Hiveship from the Wraith any chance of you doing up rules for it as a Armageddon level ship?

Any link to Youtube or a Stargate WIKI?

The problem in Germany is that Atlantis is aired to an unholy time so there are few to watch it

**** SPOILER *****

It's a Hive ship with a ZPM. Very strong hull (Asgard weapons could only do little damage to it), some very powerful weapon systems and improved sensors to detect cloaked puddle jumpers :)

If somebody will do stats for the super Hive ship, Atlantis (as ship) will need some, too :D

I wondered why Earth did not ask our new friends in the Ori galaxy if we could borrow a couple of Ori warships and show the Wraith REAL power

yeah I think so -8pm Sky 1 I think

I really enjoyed CSI Atlantis last week - one of their better episodes =- even if it was centered around Shepherd.............

Recorded last weeks episode but have'nt watched it yet. Caught a glimpse of it in the middle and it seemed somewhat strange. It kind of demotivated me to watch it, thanks for the heads up.

As you might guess, I prefer the episodes with plenty of ship fights so, tonight sounds great.

Agree, I Sure as hell won't miss Shepherd.

As for bringing in the Ori, Da Boss, yeah you would think the script writers would use a little "crossfunctional" saavy now and again.

Its a fun episode - good music too :) very very CSI in style

it was always a bit odd that they never used better equipment and technology on Atlantis.........

eg: hmm our P90's take ages to kill Wraith (well they don't anym, ore but hey) why don't we use those fancy Zats or even get some guys with staff weapons and symbiotes to give them a good kicking.

bit like the end of SG1 - I so wanted the Asgard to say -"We will not go quietly into the night although we are a dying race, rather than blow up everything lets get on board our super cool ships with the weapon upgrades - pop over to the Ori fleet and say hello"

"You have big nasty ships, but we are the Asgard and we do this for a living" :D

cue "proper space battle"

My favorite Atlantis episode, (maybe different after tonight but I doubt it), was the one where the Atlantis & Earth Ships together with the Wraith and a few mercenary ships go and kill off most of the Replicators and their fleet.

Good story, good effects, probably used up half that seasons budget.

I must admit I still love the beam the nuke aboard Wraith ships - and repeat and repeat - :)

Well until the Asgard beaming tech is blocked - did they ever say what happened to the Asgard aboard the ship - I still kinda think of him (?) grumbling away after being stuck with a buch of hyperviolent apes who just want him to blow up stuff........... :D

I never really thought the Wraith had the presence of the SG1 baddies.... I always thought they were lucky not to have found a way to our galaxy as they would not have laasted long against any of:

Asgard, Apothis, Replicators and especially the Ori

They might have had a chance against the System Lords but I kinda think not..............

Totally agree that episode also great and is probably my second favorite.

See your point on the Wraith, they just don't have the presence of galaxy conquering evil bad guys. They are only really capable of instilling fear in small furry animals, (smaller than Hamsters of course).

I agree that have the real lack of "bad guy" presence and I would go as far as to rank them even lower on that scale than the Kazon in Voyager.

Upgraded Energy Pulse A 14 20 Super AP, DD**

*Enhanced Sensors allow a ship to attack a ship using the Cloak special rule.
**Double Damage only applies against shields.

Ok so I kept the base stats the same because it doesn't carry more stuff than a normal Hiveship. The improved hull, Gravatic Grid and slightly higher self repair along with slightly higher damage accounts for the toughness and faster repair rate given by the ZPM. The Pulse weapons didn't seem to do much outside of hammering through shields so I kept the damage the same with the exception of against shields. Also a tad bit more range. I made it was shown to be significantly faster than they thought it could be in the show when it showed up so early. I haven't been able to playtest it yet but let me know what you all think.

Edit: Made unique since under most situations the Wraith would not be capable of creating more.

The Kazon are cool!

(Once you get to season 4-7 they seem relatively cool, anyway...)

Sesca was the best Kazon

Just never took to the Kazon right from Caretaker. I think one of the problems I had was that here we have this Federation ship moving at warp whatever and then still meeting the Kazon time after time. I reckon the Kazon had a bigger empire than the Borg.

They just never seemed technically capable or even intellegent enough to me to build, in at least one case, huge starships, never mind control such a huge chunk of space.

Ah, there is the issue... they mostly moved at around warp 2 didn't they? All other species did seem mysteriously capable of catching up with them whenever the plot demanded it!

they just knew all the shortcuts, I reckon tom Paris was a dodgy navigator, with someone competent at the helm they would have been home inside 3 weeks. That said, he did take orders from Janeway, and we know what Women are like with directions. . . .

I did like his "evasive manouvers"... which usually consisted of flying in a straight line getting shot to bits...

I don't think he actually evaded any enemy fire in the entire 7 seasons did he?

They did use the big red "compensate" button a bit too much, I think several of the stations on the bridge only had that 1 button. And reversing the polarity seemed to fix most problems that couldn't be "compensated".
