Star Trek RPG based on Traveller?

Will there be a Star Trek RPG / Traveller book, has it even been talk about with ADB?

FASA had one, not to bad overall. Their ST minis were not bad. The tabletop game, not so much.

Super curious.

There was talk of a Traveller version of Prime Directive - Star Trek in all but name due to a curious historical agreement with Paramount pictures. The miniatures game has already been released (A Call to Arms) and presumably the RPG is due sometime this year, from Armarillo Design Bureau.

There is a Prime Directive RPG in the works, I believe. Based on ADB's Star Fleet Universe.

Both Last Unicorn Games and Decipher also did 'real' Star Trek RPGs.

In an utterly shamelss plug, I have some Decipher Star Trek book on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/gjs-1701/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

A Traveller version of Prime Directive will certainly supply rules for most of the familiar races and equipment from the tv show, at least the original tv show. I'm sure "enterprising" people will be able to extrapolate the rest from what's provided.

Well, as for me...
They may call it what they like, as long as they do it.
I'd much prefer sooner rather then later.

Thanks for the link.
I must say on just the 1st page it was very surprising some of the concerns raised.
Time to go back and finish reading.

Thanks Again,
Ed

My plans are to be in Amarillo on May 21 and to work feverishly on this project until May 29 when I hope to have it close to complete, if not finished. We're talking 12 hour days, minimum.

After you've worked intensively for a week, you need to take a break and relax. To do otherwise is to risk ill-health :)

I'll have enforced rest -- the bus ride home will take a day and a half. And I will admit to a party day on the 20th when I arrive (probably too tired to focus). I'm planning to see Footloose in a local production and then go to Lubbock to see the eclipse. :)
