Star system generator.

I was recently looking for some star system generators and sector generators and found a great looking realistic one here: http://www.vrhome.com/traveller/software.htm
I looked at the excel files in it and it seemed to match the realistic star system generator system found here: http://www.sfrpg.org.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=174
But it wont work . Does anyone know a better generator, or how to make this one work?!

Well if you go to the author's website for that program he says:

"So many people have had trouble with this one - and Stuart Ferris has so effectively overtrumped it with the excellent Heaven and Earth - that I've withdrawn StarSys from distribution. Hell, it works for me. I think it's the installation scripts; I'll try and debug it one day. "

So that's probably why it doesn't work.

Anyway, I doubt that anyone on that list has got anything that generates systems that look like the ones I'm making in the SFRPG link - not least because the systems I'm building don't have anything in common with Traveller rules at all, but the others are generated using Book 6, or the World Builders Handbook. The others may be detailed, but it's a different kind of detail to what I'm doing.
