Sounds like a lot of fun, maybe one day I can make it.

I did have one question, though. What was the reasoning behind the 'no ship under 150 points' rule. I ask because I am going to run a tournament at my local convention(s) in the near future and was wondering about that rule.

The main reason I can see is to keep people from using a lot of frigate/destroyers in order to have more ships, thus being about to out-maneuver your opponent. With this limit it generally evens out the number of ships every person will take.
