Star Fleet Tactical Challenges Tournament - Jan 12th

I can't access the tourney pack at the moment (My laptop somehow always turns it into a mixture of birany and weird symbols), so I was wondering if someone could tell me what the times and fleets needed are now if that would be okay?

Starts at 9am (a week this Saturday!), doors close around 18:30.

As for fleets;

Game 1: 200 points maximum.
Game 2: Two ships of up to 200 points each.
Game 3: 6 Frigates or Destroyers.
Game 4: Four ships of up to 200 points each, and three Shuttles.
Game 5: Bit of an odd one this - you start off with 5 ships, Frigates, Cutters, Light Raiders, Snipes, etc. However, you will have the opportunity to 'upgrade' one or more of these ships during the game, working your way up through Light Cruisers, Heavy Cruisers, Battlecruisers and, finally, Dreadnoughts!

Once again, we have a few people who have said they are going to be coming to this event, but have not registered yet - just a week to go, so now is the time!

How long does it take to get to mongoose central from the train station either by foot or bus? And what payment options do you take on here?
Edit: Also, when I got to the checkout to pay, it comes up with £4 postage for what's either just aticket shipped or an online code to print the ticket off (Never bought a ticket from anywhere).

I think it was about a 10-15 minute walk when I last went by train. That said, I was more thinking about the upcoming battles, and less focused on the time I was taking. Don't forget that you've got the option of a car share with me (along with any other Reading gamers you've recruited) - I don't know if you've noticed the message I sent this morning.

I'll be coming from chelt, It turns term starts a week later then I expected, so will be going back to reading the day after the event :P Thank you for the offer though.
Anyone know what format the ticket is whe you buy it, is it something you print out?

You have to hit to apply button, wait for it to update and then move to the payment. It also has to be the only item in your cart.

Do you pay the £4 postage for it even when it's not being posted? It's coming up when I go to checkout for it.

Enter the Voucher Code ACTA and hit the Apply Voucher button before proceeding - you will find there is a free shipping option!

Basically, everything I was doing then.

Right, if I log in before trying go through checkout, I get the following message when hitting apply coupon: Coupon code "ACTA" is not valid.

If I try starting off not being logged in, I receive the following message instead: Coupon code "ACTA" was applied. However, when I then log in as part of the checkout process, I find that £4 has then been added for shipping.

I have found one way that it does work though - you have to check-out as a guest. I guess the website has something against me...

Okay, that is peculiar...

If you are still having problems (and this applies to anyone else), drop me a line at msprange@mongoosepublishing.com - we'll do it manually via PayPal or card!

Places starting to fill up nicely, and it looks like the fleets will be as interesting and varioed as the scenarios - we already every fleet represented except the Orions (and takers there, this could be the perfect tournament for them!).

This is shaping up to be a good 'un, so if you have next Saturday free and some spare Star Fleet ships, sign up and pop down to us!

Is the £4 postage a mistake? For something that doesn't get posted, it seems odd to charge for postage.

That is what the voucher is supposed to avoid - if you are having problems with it, drop me a line and we'll sort you out!

Ticket bought, just need to write out my fleet lists, it's two copies of the fleet list for each scenario right? And will the Gettysburg and Mars be on sale there?

Just to check, battle frigates are acceptable for the third game right?
And do I need to do a list of the initial ships I will be starting with for the 5th game, and do I need to do a list of the ships I will select, or are we allowed to do that on the fly?
