Squadrons in hyperspace

It does let you start with 2, you're right. Also, if you brought it onto the table through someone elses' gate, it could deploy an additional 4, or scramble an additional 5 thanks to AJP (in the case of a Morshin). But I guess the fighters launched could do nothing for a turn. Pity... thought it might be handy for JP fighter attacks.
 
Remember though that fighters must either come through the turn before the ship that opened the JP (Delaying the ship's arriival on the board) or must come through on escort, thus IIRC foregoing their normal move and attack phases.

Nope, like I said, they either come in the tur after the JP opens and before the ship comes through, or they come in on escort duty.

There does not appear to be a rule about Support causing you to lose your attack phase (or your movement phase right now). Both of these are sort of Mongoose house rules unless armegeddon changed the rules. This can be important until we hear one way or the other from the Mongoose team, either here or in a S&P/Rules Update of some kind.
