Space Combat abbreviated?

Friends,

My group plays Traveller by pbp on Discord and sometimes space combat takes a bit longer than usual when going back and forth through the three phases. Just curious if there's an abbreviated, or more narrative(?)/abbreviated version of space combat that someone has used that worked? To be fair, we enjoy space combat in Traveller, i'm just wondering if there's something "quicker".

Given the deadly nature of it, would you want something quicker?
"Oh damn, we could have..." BOOM

The only thing we did was "same as last time" for things like allocating thrust points, etc.
