Handel - Watermusic
Conan soundtrack (both)

Some of the old 4AD stuff is great, Dead Can Dance, (Lisa Gerrard), particularly their first album and stuff like Chant of the Paladin off Serpents Egg, and Mystere De Voices Bulgaire (dont know if Ive spelt that right), female Bulgarian throat singers (discovered because of Bauhaus' Peter Murphy's wife!), as well as African recordings of Burundi drum music (Burundi Black is the most famous). Early Tangerine Dream (Atem and Zeit), some Faust and Amon Duul II, ('Krautrock' stuff).

One can find a lot of musical inspiration and influence on http://www.jamendo.com

Moreover it's legally free to download - it concerns artists (all genres) who propose their works freely (if you want, you can pay an amount you deem appropriate).

It depends actually on my mood. Most of the time I use movie soundtracks but I might go for heavy metal or psychedelic space rock if I think it helps capturing the moment.

Pandora is a pretty good free site for discovering new music of any type. My current GM uses it in his games to set the mood:

Unfortunately, it is unavailable outside the US. I got this lessage:

Dear Pandora Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative

I yous the Age of conan st.

I am trying to cut down on how much I make fun of other people's grammar, but I have to say that this is the most interesting misspelling of "use" I have EVER seen.

BTW, the "Your" in your signature line should be "You're." It is a contraction of "You are," as in "You are the man." The word you used is the possessive, "your," as in it belongs to you (example: This is your food, not mine). You also need a comma to separate out the pronoun. There should also just be one exclamation point. You also need to watch the random capitalization. "Conan" should be capitalized, but "the" and "man" should not be. "Dog" can be capitalized if it is an actual name for the person you are addressing.

The correct signature is: "You're the man now, dog!"

Anyway, I use the Age of Conan soundtrack myself. While some of it is kind of generic, it also has some really good tracks on it.
