When I got in from work at 11.30 last night, I was very tempted to order a Shadow fleet, but resisted.

It was the warglobe that tested my resistance last night. It's such a nice mini.

I was weak last night...it's not enough that the local LGS has something like 6 fleets on order for me. (What? I'm making a lot of overtime lately... )
I also felt that just 1 mere box of Drazi with extra Sunhawks wasn't enough, so I ordered another Fleet Box and 16 stands of Sky Serpents (the little guys are cute...)

It's the first time I'd ordered direct from Mongoose, and it seemed the fitting farewell.

I console myself knowing that a local retailer has a mix of New/Old/AoG Box sets at fair to ridiculous prices that once a quarter go on sale for 25%-off and I'm I think the only person in a city of 3mil that buys this stuff.

I'm torn between regretting not getting more, but also trying to be happy with what I have. No really *huge* fleets the kind I see here, but again since I own most of the ACTA figs in a good radius, I'm only ever competing against my own collection (which I let anyone in my gaming club use).

I'm sure I bought much less than many, but I'm kind of glad I can start diverting the money to other things

Oh, I was seriously tempted, but common sense kept me from spending any more money. I don't do credit cards anymore -- I learned a valuable lesson and I'm still paying off $12K at no interest. Credit cards are evil....EVIL, I tells ya! Don't get sucked in like I did.

We've got a little girl on the way (due any day now) and my hobby budget is going to be much lighter from here out. So, it was a good time for me to bail out anyway.

Settled on filling out fleets to a battle level so tried to round things out as best I could. Not as much as some people have, but enough to get by for most things. Roughly 7 battle level points for my fleets except EA, ISA, and Narn, which are significantly higher. Would have liked more Vree, but tempered myself to balance them all out and not just dump it all on a single fleet.

I didn't get anything on the last day, but I did put an order in the Friday before...along with two other orders since the bad news broke.

Most of my fleets were 6-7 Battle points before so I filled them out to at least 10 battle (for campaign purposes):

EA (I can do 10 battle of any era, but not two simultaneously)
Shadows
Vorlons
Vree
Generic League (Drazi, Brakiri, Vree)
Centauri
Narn
Minbari
Drakh
ISA
Psi Corps

If the forges ever come back online then I'll order a ton of Raiders...but that might be a while :-/
