So long, and thanks for all the fish!

...And so the line draws to a close. No more miniatures, any more! Well, as of about 9am tomorrow anyway.

Be honest, who out there managed to show restraint and NOT buy anything today?

I promised myself I would resist temptation. I failed and my credit card will be inflicting some serious pain on me for some time to come!

Filled out my League of Associated Bit-Part Players, added a couple of bits and pieces to my Vorlons and gave in and bought the Narn fleet I'd wanted for a while (no doubt I'll be hearing about that one for some time from Charles, our resident fanhead fanatic! )

Is it really the end or can we hope that this is only a hiatus?

Oh and I've spent so much I'm scared of the bill.

I certainly didn't show much restraint. Though I managed to transfer my CC balance to another one with a 12 month, 0% interest rate so I have a year to pay off what I racked up. I know, it's sad, but oh well... ;-)

Cheers, Gary

tempted, tempted but resisted - got most of the stuff I wanted at ID games - along with some very nice Btech ships - one of which I am looking to make into a certain Dilgar Strike Cruiser.........

Ben - Foolish Foolosh Boy - Sigh, you should have chosen the Great Republic - you would have enjoyed our superior methods of making war!

Mr Boss, call it reverse snobbery.

Either that, or revenge for the fact that I'm losing my hair aged 23 whilst those gits have enough for big huge crests that must be murder on low-ceilinged buses... :P

Got pretty much all the ships I wanted, but have to admit the temptation is there... Good thing I'm out of money and paycheck isn't here yet.

Ah, well, there's still the Hobbybox.

BTW, will those metal stands be made available after the closing?

If not I just got a bunch with my orders (Narn Fleet, Gaim Fleet, more ISA. EA (Crusade), more Gaim and ISA enroute) I'd be willing to trade

I had to rob at least 20 banks in order to fron-... I mean, no, I showed restraint.

Fortunately, I made my massive orders before hand, a week or so after the announcement (Though I've yet to receive a portion of it, back ordered I'm told.) Still, I dropped at least 600 dollars in that "panic" order alone...

I feel I showed lots of restraint by not buying anything today despite still having bank balance in positive figures.

On the other hand, when previous orders arrive I'll be able to field a 10 pt war fleet for Narn, Centauri, League, Shadows, Dilgar and EA/Psi-core, so I shouldn't be too proud

I wanted to do a full League fleet, but didn't have the money to do it and I wasn't willing to spend *that* much to get all of the Abbai, Brakiri, Drazi, Pak'Ma'Ra and Vree that I would need to do so. Ah well... ;-)

Cheers, Gary

I was certainly tempted to make another order, then I saw how much my first order cost in $AUD  That and some renovations are making my account look like it's got fiscal ebola :(

Totally worth it though, got my first consignment last week and the new Hyperion is awesome! :D

I'm also liking the detachable bases, though I haven't done an accidental 'drop test' yet... What does everyone think of the new bases?

I gotta admit, I was sorely tempted. But, surprisingly for me, sanity prevailed when I looked back at the largish pile of various OTHER things just sitting around begging for my delicate painter's caress.

And by delicate caress, I mean hamhanded slapdash bodging, but still.

Gaim called to me for a while today, but I think I have enough. It'll never rule the galaxy as is, but it's playable.

I already have a £140 order in with thehobbybox, and I'm meant to be saving as much money as possible for a possible move in a month.
