Slaine PDF's by Prophet118

well... the celtic knot stuff was a no go..lol

for as large as the pictures needed to be, the knot work ended up looking childish, or gimpy... i stuck to just simply putting the word Slaine, on one of the images...

keeping it simple should actually work in the favor of the screen, less people will be staring at it..lol

i predict that this will be a large file

http://home.hiwaay.net/~wyred56/Character%20Sheets/Slaine/slaine%20pics.pdf

though were mongoose to approach me about them actually using my screen as the screen they release, they would solve alot of issues, since you guys wouldnt have to download the pdfs, you'd just have to buy the screen..lol

ok end wishful thinking mode... the pics are up... the thought has crossed my mind about doing some of that mapping stuff... i do have map software... in the form of the core rules cd from 2nd edition AD&D... maps can be made using it, and i can even save to pdf (because i have adobe acrobat, i just print to the distiller..lol)

yeh really

like i said, there was a post on the yahoo group about maps of cities and stuff... so i might just give that a go...

the questions though..

do these cities currently have any information about them?

or would that be up to who made them?

the main source is the tir nan og sourcebook as the main book is very light on detail.finias is mapped as is the warrior academy called Dunscathach but that is all really :?

there is detailed information on every city just no map if you want me too find all source material and type it out no problem just tell me which one you want too start with  or if any techno heads can tell me how too scan the pages and place them here it would be much quicker

ok... 19.95, i can swing that, but it depends on when honestly... if i get back with the guy wanting to buy my drumset within the next few days, i'll be able to buy that book fairly soon... if not, im going to have to wait til next weekend to get it..lol

can someone get me a sample of what one cities set up is written as.... any city, id just like to see how descriptive the book is

just picked up the tir na nog book

there are already pictures of the cities in it

so im not super sure what was being requested to be done

anywho, next item up for discussion, if toothill and daithi wanted to, they could contact me offlist,,, in fact, i wouldnt mind that...

all my information is below my posts

most citys have detailed destriptions (can only see one city map)but too be honest most of my action happen in the much smaller settlements that the majority of the tribe live in.Can find illustrations of round houses etc but I would like too see more celtic art and things like plans of carved stones and henges but dont know what the others would like 8)

That sounds about right. Letting your tribe have some "R&R" or free time and the ability to enter a major settlement should be treated as a perk or a whole new experience.

There shuld be an excitment about going to the "city" in which things are much busier than the average tribe members life is in say a village. (minus the excitement on battle or everyday or random events)

Lets just say a City even in mythic times should be a big event. If the players are not "city folk"

the big thing i noticed about the fineas (spelling?) city was that only a few places were labeled..

it left ALOT of places for the player to make up, but thats not always a good idea
