it'd be cool if i was able to actually really do this for mongoose... its kind of fun making the pdfs...lmfao

Yeah well you do a great job at it. And I really like the look of the Critter page. And yeah well it is nice to see that atleast three of us keep these boards alive and kicking. :lol:

one question :) challenge rating do you use that in your game know I dont :roll:
 
got a E-mail from Ian sturrock on the yahoo forum saying well done for keeping slaine alive that work is yours to as well so we all got a well done for us all from mr slaine :twisted:
 
hehe, sorry been a bit off in the checking messages process..lol

i dont even play Slaine...hahaha... and im swearing off most d20 games, in favor of 2nd edition AD&D, because i enjoyed that much more than 3rd ed...


but thats beside the point, in my own personal 3rd ed game, i never bothered with challenge rating, some people do though... im sure..

to be honest, i hadnt even checked out the yahoo list, im on it, but due to my reformat this weekend, i have been too busy to try and read through it, especially since at the time i didnt even have office reinstalled, so i had to wade through comcasts webmail.... *shudder*..lol
 
this is gonna be now, all about the slaine dm screen... im voting for a 4 pager myself, keeping with the same border as the character sheet of course..some edits will in fact be done to it though, thats all i'll say for now
 
i'll get to work on it tonight, bout to head over to my mothers to look at old pictures..lol...

me being the graphically awesome person i am, i have been working on digitally restoring old photos for the family..lol
 
good luck with the photos found some of my dads family that were so old they had a serious case of woodworm :shock: the Dm screen will be awesome 8) it has too be, you are doing it thanks again for your hard work :D
 
HAHAH... thanks for your confidance..

i'll be breaking out my slaine book tonight for some info... i may just scan sections of it... for tables and such

the questions though

how much is too much information?...

like for instance, i know the basics need to be on it, but do you guys want a list of the weapons on the screen as well?
 
i also plan on releasing (hah) after that a pictures file, that will be scanned pictures from the slaine book, so expect that one shortly after the screen itself
 
update, page one is mostly done (content wise)... still the question, would you guys like 3 pages, or 4?

once i finish making sure the content on page 1 looks nice enough, i'll move on to page 2, then lather rinse repeat basically..

only when i am done content wise with all 3 or 4 pages will i go back and do some art for the dm info side...

possibly some of the weapon pictures and stuff... not too much to get in the way.
 
yeah I think any of the charts for quick reference,any other notables to keep the game going. The weapon charts would be good as well as summary of a turn or what not?

But yeah I think anything you come up with since be fine. We have all the faith in the world you can pull this one off. As far as pages or panels I guess it depends on how much info needs to be on the Screen will determine if it is 3 or 4 panels.

Can't wait to see the first page/panel! :D
 
hehe, ok doke... im probably going to pull a bit form the 3rd ed dm screen as well, probably not scanning it, because i want the background to stay white... but i will at least be using some of the info there..

like what skills you can take 10 or 20 on... on so on
 
the first page content wise, is now done... its chock full of goodies.... though i think there might be room for me to cram more in.... but that wouldnt be fun...haha


im thinking im probably only going to make this a 3 pager... im just looking at the stuff, and realizing that there just isnt an overabundance of information needed..haha..

i'll probably change my mind when i look at the 3rd ed screen though

i think summary of a turn is best left for games like magic.. lol

all you need to know in 3rd ed style games is "roll init, roll attack, roll damage".... lather rinse repeat...lol
