Ok, how do the various sizes compare to each other roughly please, in real terms?
Eg, siz 13 average human, siz 23 for a scorpion man.
I've been wondering about giving them a rating according to height and weight.
So far I've been thinking along the lines that height starts off at 3' 8" and every pt of Size is doubled before being added in inches with weight being using Size as the base with modifiers applied for Str, Dex and Con (Strength-10, 10-Dexterity and (Constitution/2)-5) with the initial Size base being Size multiplied by itself in pounds.
So Size 12 would be 3'8" +2' or 5' 8" and Siz 18 being 6' 8" and weight being a base of 144lb for Size 12 and 10 for Str, Dex & Con and 324lbs for Size 18 with the same modifiers for Str, Dex & Con.
The only alterations I was thinking of is that the player could have their character be taller at the cost of being lighter so they could be equivalent of Size 14 (6' tall) but be Size 10 in weight (bae 100lbs) and vice versa since it is possible for a character to either gain or lose weight and therefore effect Size accordingly, but height changes should be the part they find near impossible to alter unless they start so young that their character hasn't reached their true adult height.
Sorry for all of the ramble with my luck i'll reread the thread and discover I've completely miss the point of this thread!
Sorry size 13 would be 5' 10" tall and base 169lbs in weight and Size 33 would be 9' 2" tall and base weight of 1089 lbs without modifiers for stats.
And according to page 11 of the 3rd edition advanced runequest book:
Size 13 is between 77-83kg and 169-184lbs and Size 33 is 436-475kg and 960-1049lbs well I was close!
Now to find out the height...
