Can someone point me or link me to some decent websites with ship colour schemes on please as most of the pictures I have found are BW naturally

Thanks

Excellent site, Andy.... thanks for the link!

(Oh, gawd..... I'm gonna start painting ships again, I just know it....

I found it a real nuisance because I came up with so many camouflage schemes I couldn't work out what to do.

US I have ended up with a 2 tone blue grey scheme dark blue grey all over with light grey splotches.

Japanese one tone greenish grey all over

Both sides I have tan wooden carrier decks

Japs only I have tan wooden battleship decks.

Is this historically accurate, I don't think so, but does it reflect a general americanese and japneseyness? I hope so. though I am not convinced. Just varnishing and basing them up, will have 2 large fleets finished by the weekend.

An easy yet historically accurate theme for USN ships would be to paint them up as late-war Measure 21 (all vertical surfaces Navy Blue with Deck Blue on horizontal surfaces). This was for anti-aerial purposes and I think mostly against possible Kamikaze strikes. This saves doing the decks as wood/teak color as well. Another USN camo that I liked that wasn't too tricky to apply was measure 22 http://www.shipcamouflage.com/measure_22.htm.

Also, here is a bit of info-

If you click on the pics, you get color chips of the paints.
