Serious question about the tournament in March

So, the Klingons On The Starboard Bow tournament is less than a month away. Bearing in mind the current issues with supply of miniatures, is the restriction on using only painted Starline 2500 miniatures still in effect? If I want to play in the tournament with a Klingon fleet but don't have the correct miniatures without my yet-to-be delivered fleet box, what are my options for play on the day?

Good question, as it looks likely no one will have their Klingon fleets before March.

I was going to go to the tournament, but as I don't have any ships yet it's a good thing I haven't booked a train ticket.

A very good question! I too was looking to play Klingons at the tourney, maybe even Kzinti, but with no sight of fleet boxes on the horizon; will we be able to play substitute ships or counters?

I hear that ADB do a nice range in counters, would we be able to use those on the day?

Thank you for pointing that out. That answers my question but doesn't really brighten my day as having invested a lot of money in fleet boxes, i'm not going to then spend more money on buying 2400 scale miniatures to fill in. Looks like this tournament will be a miss for me.

Hi guys,

After some reflection, I think we have to conclude that while mass shipping of the fleet sets is imminent, it is beginning to cut things a bit fine if we want models all pretty and painted up.

Therefore, I believe we will announce as little later this week that the tournament will be set back another 4-6 weeks (but no further!).

May 5th? It's after the local elections and means everyone will have minis, everyone will have painted them, and some other stuff might be out.
