Sage of Lyris

Sir Brad

Banded Mongoose
Ok, a million cool ideas floating around my head for LW ATM, I think I've got a workable Sage of Lyris figured out.

CS, EP & WP
not as good as a warrior type but better than other wizards in the CS & EP front and less than a Wizard on the WP say CS 7+0-9, EP 18+0-9 and WP 15+0-9.

Disciplines
all start with Sagacious Concentration, Rank 1 in their Arcane Study and three (given rank 5 starting point) others chosen from additional ranks in their Arcane Study or from the paths of expertise.

their are six ranks to each Arcane Study the Sage must dedicate themselves to one field.

Paths of Expertise will let you chop and change, some will even let you hijack other classes Disciplines.

Err... Care to elaborate a little more? It sounds a lot like the Kloon Sage at the moment (if I understand your first post correctly, which I suspect is not the case).

Ok ATM I'm going with re working the D20 edition stuff

Path of Glory, The Pen is Mightier than the Sword: +3CS with Rapiers, Evasion: do no damage to take 1/2 damage, The Long and the Short: +3CS with Daggers, 2nd attack for half damage when using paired Rapier and Dagger.

Path of Knowledge: will act like Dedicated Learning or a limited form of Comrade Wisdom (ie you can't take other magic, Psychic or Combat disciplines).

Path of Rewards is a Dud in the MPGB ed so will be dropped.

the focus of the class will be their six levels of Arcane Study.

Sage Magic, 4 spells when first taken and choose one spell per each additional rank taken in it

working on Celestialism & Sonomancy, don't know if I want them to be progressive or just pick a power.

when you hit rank 10 they will get a free 11th discipline "Lore's Legacy" that is the ultimate power of their Arcane Study
