Hi y'all,

Does anyone remember the rumor tables from CT? I'm curious as to why Mongoose left them out.

Does anyone out there miss them? If so, have you implemented your own version (which shouldn't be too hard to do)?

Are you glad they're gone? Were they a waste of paper? Was it a system that provided useful tidbits of information in a poorly executed manner?

Since I very much prefer rumours that are specific to the situation in my
setting, I can well do without any "general" rumours.

Hmm, I don't see these in my CT reprints - which book was this in?

Anyway - any referee aid should be welcome - play it as you like. Obviously random rumors may not fit a given adventure and side track players, but on the other hand that may be what is desired on the spur of the moment – and having pre-made material is what most of the books in an RPG are about. And, of course, a Referee can and should pick and choose and override any die roles.
